That is certainly accelerated mental development. Genius would be my guess for the intelligence level.

True. I'm trying to guess conservatively because we haven't gotten enough information about the end result of the character's intelligence; how smart they are as an adult.

i’d say gifted.

The line between gifted and genius is somewhat vague. There are characters that have showings of immensely accelerated mental development and picking up of skills but still aren't classified as genius due to not having any more over the top showings of applying their intelligence.
