Wouldn't having your atoms being frozen count as being frozen to absolute zero? Since that's the temperature required for atoms to freeze?

If there's an explicit statement of "atoms being frozen" and that's not just inferred from visuals or the like, maybe? The issue is that "freeze" is an ambiguous word here, since it can really mean both "went from a liquid to solid state of matter" and "stopped moving", and only the latter would qualify for absolute zero. Technically atoms can freeze by the former definition while still being above absolute zero.

I mean yeah that's what I'm saying. Being "frozen" in the sense of the state of matter means that the atoms are still moving and have energy, and are above absolute zero. But if you're using "frozen" to mean "not moving" like "Time is frozen", particles not moving = being at absolute zero temperature.

Right, though the main argument is that there's legit statements of absolute zero being used to describe the temperatures of certain demon's ice, one of them in particular exceeding absolute zero temperature because fiction likes to break normal rules like that. So it's not just mere "being frozen by any old ice" otherwise we'd just label it as ice manipulation.

Right but, like I'm saying, tanking an absolute zero attack and even getting frozen by it doesn't mean your body has been cooled to absolute zero temperatures.
