Precognition: The fight

From what I know, Shulk's precog is more unreliable in the sense of when it comes and Shulk not being able to avoid some predictions, despite the seemingly useless advantage of them being able to come earlier. Am I missing something?

Zanza typically gives as much precognition as Shulk needs in the older keys, but keep in mind that he's being guided by a Low 2-C character who sees all time on an omnipresent scale. Also, one use of Monado Purge is going to leave Diavolo down for the count.

@Eficiente what do you mean unreliable? It's the most useful ability in his entire arsenal as he abuses that ability like there's no tomorrow.

Not unreliable, just more unreliable than Diavolo's for the reasons I brought, with me not being properly informed on the matter as suggested by the comment. Shulk's profile doesn't help, neither, but now I can ask how did you guys think both precogs are going to collide in battle? Extensive elaborations are appreciated.

His precognition is passive as it gives him glimpse of the future that will happen, which he can use to counter anything Diavolo has in stores.

Shulk's Precog by Zanza is vastly better, and he has the AP to one shot

I almost want to say stomp

Diavolo's precog isn't passive but he uses it all the time IC, how's Shulk's precog vastly better? Can someone give an example?

That sounds impressive and everthing, and sure Shulk likely stomps but I'm a little unsatisfied

  • How does Zanza viewing time on an omnipresent scale interact with time being erased?
  • Is Zanza's support his full knowledge or a part of it?
  • Can Zanza show Shulk erased time?

The fact that if Diablo erases time Zanza views a different time or another outcome to see what he dies

No idea what this means

Don't see why not, view another outcome he doesn't
