I seen a fanfic where Jaune got "abandoned" and "betrayed" by his friends and met Raphtalia from Rising of the Shield Hero when she was a teen (No mention of Naofumi or anything related to the series) and they fall in love and he began becoming OP in an instant with his Legendary Shield.

Here is the story

Planck my friend I think you underestimate the sometimes overlooked versatility known as plot convenience. Also I once must ask the question, if Jaune is suppose to be a lovable loser then why make him such an OP edgy asshole?

I guess nobody wants to be a loser or an object of pity. And it is possible that the authors see jaune as a representative of themselves

Yep. Naruto and Harry Potter alone make up the majority of fanfiction.

Rise of Dragon Empire (or something): A typical Western Empire Naruto fanfiction. Smutty, as they usually are, with Naruto being married to every hot female character in mainstream media. They also all wear bikinis at all times (tasteful, I know). It's only special in how bad it is even compared to other fics like it.

Standard plot as far as they go;
Naruto gets banished and goes to the unmapped West, builds an empire, Konoha goes to shit because apparently they were in economic ruin before Naruto got them trade agreements with Wave and such, who break them off because for some reason they completely hinged on the countries' friendship with a bratty genin. They hear about this mysterious new power and go to beg for an alliance. Konoha offers.....taking all their stuff and making Sasuke the emperor. Yeah, Konoha has about as much brainpower as Patrick Star. Credit where it's due, I've yet to see the cliche diplomatic scene done so poorly.

Speaking of Sasgay, my god, he is the most idiotic, mentally challenged man-child I've ever seen in these fics. He's usually limited to stuff like "dobe" in others but here, his dialogue is just "mmmhmmhhm Uchiha elite!" and he seems to go out of his way to get his ass kicked.

But Sakura gets killed by a mermaid by Chapter 2 so it's not the worst...

@Planck69 it's like these people can't grasp the idea that countries won't end alliances with another country because of some annoying kid who helped them awhile ago, these are governments that need resources after all and sacrificing that for the sake of one person is unrealistic to the umpteenth degree

Not to mention how Konoha was fine without these alliances. Considering they suffered a major attack, lost their strongest ninja and were still strong enough to make the other major villages wary, I doubt they wouldn't manage without Wave or Snow.

Yeah almost as if Konoha is a legitimately strong village which has enough military infrastructure and resources to maintain itself without the assistance of some lower, while still strong, villages is enough evidence to suggest that maybe Naruto didn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things?

Wave and Snow are....incredibly weak actually. Like, they (Konoha) get funded by the Daimyo, their businesses and their clients, not some random countries. They'd have no need to seek out help anyway. Even then, if they know that this "Emperor" wouldn't need to be involved then why wouldn't they just send a messenger requesting a treaty? There's no reason to send over people that aren't diplomats at all.

But no, we must see Naruto rub it in their faces.

Guys, isn't most isekai a really bad self insert? I am pretty sure as hell that "In another world with my smartphone" hasn't done jack shit to have anime adaptation. Cautious hero is at least funny and interesting, and a bit realistic in it's own way.

See that's why I dislike most Isekai stories in manga or anime, because they're mostly just self inserts where the author gets a harem or is absurdly OP. Now maybe there is a legitimately good Isekai story out there, but I haven't found it yet

Oh shit I forgot that Konosuba was a thing. Well tbh I only saw the first 2 or so episodes but it was pretty good so I guess that I did see a good Isekai story, though I'm sure it was a diamond in the midst of a pile of garbage

Tbf, Konosuba gives of more of a comedy vibe than a power fantasy trash fest.

@Planck69 maybe, and this is just my theory so it isn't objective, it's because Konosuba wants to tell a funny story with memorable characters instead of being a fantasy story with so much wank that it puts pornography to shame

Not as bad, but tsunderes tend to get pretty annoying.

The only yandere fics I've ever read is a mikasa and Annie one and it is... Just end me
