Calamity RP - Game Thread

"Huh interesting, looks like this could have some value" He stores the money and valuable items inside his "Stomach" and continues walking

The drone is small, while you are rather large. You lose sight of it rather quickly, and the whirring soon subsides, leaving little trace of it behind.
Nate seems annoyed by what the giant did and plans to retaliate in the not too distant future, but he better decided to seek refuge and also wanted to investigate how he got to this area.

"There's a... small community East of here, near the lake. The city isn't safe. There's an... exclusion zone not too far North of it."

The young man stated as he was being carried.
"Alright, sounds like a good place as any."

Abban follows such instructions.

(The mecha could split it chest here…no, why not splitting every part of it body and attack from all angle-Huh)

After talking with people abit, I found myself immerse with the new power, and diving deep into my imagination. When I come to, all I can see is a crumbling warehouse, with no one around me, and a giant Jupiterman in the background.

“Um…what the hell happened here?”

Fortunately, my newly-created Haro have a recording function, as such I looked through it to know what going on.

(Okay…man get burn, ouch that’s bad…people help the man, some fight the Jupiterman, Jupiterman fight back, he get giant, everyone moved away…)

“So in summary, I’m the only one left around here.”

Thinking about what I should do now, I decided to go and scan out the place. Holding my Haro up high, it head then popping off a propeller on top, and began to whirl and lift myself up, holding the handle. At the same time, I ask the Haro to scan the surrounding.

“Okay, apparently we’re in some ruin of Las Vegas, and if so…apparently some is going to the sea, some are going to direction where people live, and some going for the…wait, is that a Drone?”

“Sorry Jupiterman, though you look mighty interesting right now, my mecha bug compel me to follow the drone! See you around soon!”

Waving goodbye, I then follow the drone, trying to fly as fast as I can to catch up.

@Exploration people

The city has little in the way of notable things. A few broken down tents, many collapsed buildings. Looting does not end up amounting to much either, though some money can be found in places, as well as various valuable objects left behind long ago. A few craters can be seen as well, sizable ones. One would reckon the traces of an old battle, or perhaps a bomb.
Agatha would try to see the valuable objects... This place was pretty much wrecked, wasn't it? She didn't have much memories because of her coma, but these belonged to people. People who tried to survive such a threat... she sighed, trying to get a closer look as she descended.

Those very same objects manage to catch the eye of the maiden. She approaches behind her, looking towards them all with glinting light in her eyes. Behind her, she doesn't make a sound, merely standing just behind her, as silent as a mouse. However, an icy cold breath is taken, that might have just reached her neck. Her eyes -- are scrutinizing both Agatha and the items of interest for any small details of note.

" ... hah ... "

Heading east brings a lake into sight not long after, there appears to be a notably large survivor camp at its shore. A few more craters are seen along the way there as well, but not any near the place itself.
... is this... no, too obvious.

The male thinks, maintaining an east direction of movement and giving the camp a wide berth.

@Overlord775

The clouds offer little resistance in the way of being eaten, nor does there appear to be anyone trying to stop you at the moment.

Looking down from there gives you a similar view of the city as the others. Dilapidated buildings, ruined tents, the occasional crater.

@People with the civilian

Moving towards the community brings a lake into sight not long after, there appears to be a notably large survivor camp at its shore. A few craters are seen along the way there as well, but not any near the place itself. Giving it a better look, there is a sense of other Calamities being present there, two by his own estimates, but the place doesn't seem to have anything dangerous going on around it. It's a gathering of larger tents and huts thrown together with whatever they could manage to get.

"This is... the place."

The young man said, still shaky.

@ocean group

The object is a small black, nearly triangular structure, with no discernible features besides that. It seems to be an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. Unarmed, too, as far as they can tell. It follows the group at a significant enough distance, but is certainly trailing them. The metal looked... strange, not like any metal they'd seen much of before, for those not of this world. For those of it, they'd recognize this as being one of that organization's many creations, a metal partially infused with Calamity energy, so as to not immediately fold in half from the slightest touch.

@Exploration people

It seems, from what can be gathered looking around, that this place was hit particularly hard when the disaster came. It appears mostly to be used for occasional trips for scavengers. Towards the Northern end, there appear to be signs warning of an "Exclusion Zone" past the city somewhere.

Various items can be found left over as well, from canned food, to half intact electronics, to personal belongings, to, of course, corpses.

@Andykhang

The scanners have a better time finding the drone, which appears to have landed inside a ruined building and entered a "stealth mode" of sorts. Traces of it can still be detected though, but not its exact point in the building. It wouldn't be too difficult to find from there.

@Hl3_or_bust

Passing by the camp, you would sense the presence of Calamities there, two initially. Past that, the lake itself is fairly normal, and has occasional small camps near it, but not too many. A thing that would come your attention however, a good distance away from any camps, a small non-descript metallic building. The metal appears distinctly unusual, though somewhat old, it seems. His senses would tell him that whatever this is, has an underground section bigger than appears. No human presence could be detected either.

“Its that group from earlier, they want to keep an eye on us in case we cause issues” Dimitri says staring at the drone pondering if he should do anything about it.

"...i don't like being watched."

Almost instinctively, Aleisa snaps her fingers. Using her manipulation of energy, she tries to make the machine "turn off". Like flipping a switch and removing all energy from it.

A tinge of alarm is raised to Abban, but, considering that the people here haven't been turned to ash by a sun out of nowhere, it'll probably be fine for now. As such, Abban sets the man down.

"Well, go on, meet the other kids."

Abban waves, signaling the man to skedaddle.

"... Something feels off about this place. I think I'll stick around a bit before I try and head out to figure out where I am."

“Unfortunately its what they do, Calamities like us can cause (Head twitchs)… untold destruction, so they are very thorough when he comes to keeping an eye on people like us” he says as he scratches the back of his neck.

Nate would create a makeshift backpack and keep whatever was useful in addition to eating a can of sausages

he would walk in search of this "Exclusive Zone"

An Exclusion zone huh... Oh and some canned foods, just in c-

Agatha herself jumps back a bit at the cold, icy breath from the maiden, causing her to startle, and almost in self defense, put her arms up, moving her robes slightly. However her hands shined with a blue-ish color. "W-What do you want...?"

Exclusion ... Zone ... What could those words possibly mean? And though -- she didn't quite feel the need any need for sustenance - she's not felt any sort of hunger since the day she awakened - the half-intact electronics; their spare parts may be of some use in the future. She begins to salvage them, stuffing them into her pockets before the alarming jump of the other woman brought her to attention.

Agatha herself jumps back a bit at the cold, icy breath from the maiden, causing her to startle, and almost in self defense, put her arms up, moving her robes slightly. However her hands shined with a blue-ish color. "W-What do you want...?"
Her movements grew stiff, and she stood still with her hands politely folded just above her waist. Dull eyes pondered the question, and an answer like an instinct that had been implanted in her brain began to speak for her. Lips moved and curved slightly to make out the words, providing Agatha with the truth she knew.

"What I want .... is .... irrelevant ...."

"T-Tell me so I know whether you're a threat or not..." Agatha merely responded, she was still a bit... shaken. Trying to internally calm herself down at the sudden surprise.

"If you're a threat... I'll have no mercy."

Seeing that the drone is coming into the building, I immediately go inside the building to look for it, turning my scanner inside the building just to be sure as well.

Once I found it, I then immediately come to check it out in a giddy manner, looking and touching at it to inspect

It appears unlikely we will be able to locate the enemy with the current strategy so we will split into four squadrons north, west, east, south. Should you be unsure which squadron you go to go to the one to your right.

With this four Swarms form.

The north group meet near the exclusion zone.

The east group stops when they see the first signs of the coast.

The west group starts to build a shelter.

The south group stops movement to act as bait.

With the clouds being consumed, the starborn being turns towards the ground for other sources of fuel.

Spotting a few streams of running water in the area underneath, it descends toward them to continue feeding.

@Listentomyrhytm @MaidRips

More than 20 meters away was Nate who turned his head to see the calamities near his area.

"interesting, to be that I'm not the only one who was attracted to this specific area "Nathan said
" ... I'm not sure. I don't know ... what I am."

She simply responded with a dainty and -- just as shaken voice. Seems she wasn't the only amnesiac. But as she was the first person she talked to, she already felt somewhat attached. Slight hesitation broke into her voice. Her knees felt the compulsion to kneel before her. But it was broken by the other male in the vicinity. Her body tensed up, muscles immediately breaking into a defensive position, fists raised in front of her head. Golden glyphs enveloping her palms.

"State your business ... "

@ocean group
“One of their drones again. I wonder if I should just gun it down.” He stays his hand for the moment and looks toward the group flying above him. “Do they even know I’m here?” He wonders to himself as he calls out to try and get their attention.

Agatha would calm down a bit... seeming she was of no threat yet and now with her ears noticing the shaken and agitated voice. "She seems... fairly alright... will have to trust she's no thr-" Agatha Phalanx's inner thoughts were interrupted by a third presence. She didn't jump back however, but was still... a bit surprised.

" ... "

She stayed silent. Who simply looked for adventure in a place like this? The thought confused her, but she was alerted by threats -- not whatever it was that he wanted. The sigils disappeared into nothingness as she slowly backed away, such that she was nearer to Agatha.

"...oh, that guy. I did notice him, but..."

Aleisa looks down at him and kind of vaguely waves at his direction. She is still rightfully suspicious, but is at least willing to talk, probably.

Dimitri looks at the guy calling out to them as his head twists before giving a slight wave and returning to look at the drone.

Karcer turns to their unknown stalker and signs something no one can understand. Had he had normal human hands, the message in sign language would've been "**** off and drown".

Seeing that they acknowledged him Kazuya smiles and says, “You guys planning to deal with that drone? I was just gonna gun it down but figured I should get on the same page with you all considering I want to work together.”

The male glares at the building for a moment... before approaching, and entering through any opening found.

@Shelter

Theresia arrives shortly after Abban, letting the other two safely down beside her.

"We've arrived!" she says proudly.

"A survivor camp, hmm? If I've been to this one before it was a while ago."

@Overlord775

While nothing seems to interfere with the feeding on the surface, the surroundings seem a little strange, as if they had residual calamity energy around them. Oddly, the water just doesn't take in at all, somehow remaining the same despite attempts at consuming it.

@Survivor camp group

The young man steps away.

"O-oh, and I heard some of you say you wanted answers or something. Your best bet for information would be the camp's leader. He goes by "Rebuilder", doesn't remember his name, or so I'm told. He tends to know the goings on."

He said, before heading deeper inside, seemingly reuniting with a small group of other young people.

No one seemed to stop them from entering the camp itself.

@Ocean group

Strangely, Aleisa does not shut it off entirely, though it does seem to waver significantly in reaction to this, almost falling out of the sky, before, suddenly, accelerating faster and faster, and coming to a stop right in front of her, as if suspended in air. Aleisa can sense that it is indeed not functional now.

Then, as if in the blink of an eye, a man appears standing atop it.

"I'd advise against attacking these things. Doesn't paint a good picture."

The man gives off a sense of "calamity", but somehow it doesn't feel entirely right.

@Exploration group

It appears that the main Exclusion Zone itself is a few hundred miles North, though the signs for it "starting" begin at the northern edge of the city.

It appears to begin at a crater, in fact. A few makeshift signs can be seen, saying things like "Danger, North."

@Andykhang

A bit of looking around lets you find the drone. It appears to have lost function, it's rather well built and sturdy, but the electronics seem to be fried. Some kind of emergency mechanism, perhaps.

@Hl3_or_bust

The building is fairly well reinforced, but given your abilities, you are able to enter through small gaps with relative ease.

The inside is rather simple, a few still functional lighting mechanisms and the wires that go along with such, as well as a locked hatch leading down.

"Well, it's better than wandering around aimlessly."

Abban nods his head and walks in, looking around for the rebuilder.

Aleisa nods to the calamity in the ground, as if to give affirmative to his question, before the drone gets up in her face again. She puts her hoodie back on, hiding her features.

"Then they should stop spying on us. Who are you anyways? Your face looks stupid."

This is why i hate dealing with people. Never going straight to the point.

“Hm…let see if I can do some restoration work.”

Taking it apart and look at the electronic, I then spawn more Haro and get to work.

One of them scan and analyze the components and the electronic, and from such replicating back the possible original form of the electronic itself, as well as looking at the hard drive and memory for any possible data left.

One of them then hold the electronic, along with any fried or broken part, and tasked with repairing it, taking out material repairing paste and accurately lining it back.

The last one then directly make the component that’s too damaged to repair directly according to the analysis result (and also directly improving it if possible), and putting the component back together.

After awhile, I finally finished putting back into shape. I then looked through the data I managed to collect to see if I can get anything out of it

“Well shit… thats not great” Dimitri says as he sees the man appear “******* Gaia” he says as he shakes his head.

Raine stays a bit more behind, his hand not near his sword. Instead he covers his mouth as he quietly yawns.

What kind of picture do they think spying on us paints?
