Devil May Cry Discussion Thread

Even though the devs have been speeding up our versions to catch up with CN by having a triple update in 1 update, we are still a few patches behind. The alternative before the sync was...lol...waiting a year

I'm still not used to such a UI smh.

Where was story mode again?

Uhh...if I had to guess, it will be available on global around august give or take. It'll be available in May for CN only
Damn... at least we have time to farm for them, to fully SSS both and get their signatures we'll need like 77,500(if the weapon banner is not discounted) or 63,000(if the weapon banner is discounted)

No damage Vergil on DMD. Technically my second time doing it, I just remembered to record this time around.

Once you figure out the best way of tackle Vergil this is not exactly that hard, I think some moments of bad RNG might screw or delay you, but overall you just need to get good, in fact, I didn't do JC and missplayed a couple of times, so even this fight has some room for error if you do no damage either way.

I do think the best part of it was figuring out the best strategies that work to me by myself, never watched a guide either, just testing stuff... A lot of it was while drunk, so pretty fulfilling!

Another day, another thread downgrading Donte and Vergin

Dante: You still don't know how to throw a party. No food, no drinks, and only just one babe

Vergil: My sincerest apology brother, I was to eager to see you I... now brought my daughter for the bash

Dante still a hobo virgin. 😅

Dante have trailer fighting ?
I mean, memes aside he isn't a hobo nor a virgin, people just call him that cuz muh funny stuff (and projection).

Also I think there are enough trailers. I saw a video and they just changed the whole gameplay for the twins which is nice.

It's actually said that Dante has been with women in the DMC3 manga, it just doesn't go anywhere.

Also, I've seen lots of combat behaviour inspired by DMC. RWBY (AKA derivation the series) used multiple moves from DMC for example: Oscar/Ozpin uses Dante's Million Stab, Blake is shown using Dante's Stinger, Qrow uses a sword very similar to Nero's, that transforms into a scythe like the Sparda does, and Adam is basically a direct knock-off of Vergil. And Ragna and Jin were at least slightly inspired by Dante and Vergil since there's even an achievement in the first Blazblue game called Dante.

Additionally, Raven herself is almost certainly inspired by him. She’s a woman who valued power and her evil heritage (banditry) over her own family, abandoning her daughter, wielding a Katana that with the power of her Soul cuts space-time to create portals. And in her desire for power, she found and stole one from legend, a power that came from what could be argued to be a father figure.

While it’s not the exact same precession of events, it’s very clearly taking Vergil’s relevant threads and putting a spin on them. Especially when you then compare her to her younger twin brother, Qrow, who is a lot like Dante in his self-perception, humor, etc. And as noted, Qrow’s weapon is basically the DSS, which is what Dante wielded at the end of DMC1.

He banged a big tiddy redhead in the novels
Which novel? DMC1?

True, maybe Raven and Adam should do a fusion dance and see if we get even more of a Vergil knock-off.

As for Qrow though, his role in the story and his level of usefulness is somewhere between Vol 1 Dante and Netflix Dante. Keeping in mind Netflix Dante is about as competent as Dan Hibiki or Johnny English, so Qrow is better than that for sure.
