the code=boro isnt a contradiction, people just took Code's word at face value, which is funny because the guide statement thats meant to validate the code comparison makes an effort to specifically highlight that code thinks this versus being an objective claim, then theres the fact that in context its referring to their abilities. which is true the series does treat code's claw marks as a big deal during this section of the story.

also kawaki and code are some of the worst characters to use to scale, code himself has no sensory abilities and has made some funny statements (like believing pre limiters that he could deal with cyborgs that far surpassed jigen) and kawaki is inconsistent too.

even a lot of early code scaling stuff has context people ignore, most notably that Amado is intentionally gaslighting and stoking fear into Kawaki, the intent is to get him take his karma back, which is why code gets a lot of glaze early on in that arc, despite later on confirming tha even people like delta and shikamaru would be enough to stop code. and even post limitless they thought Konoha could reasonably hold its own as long as he wasnt as powerful as Ishikki.

so tbf i think most of the internal scaling with Boruto and its statements make sense, people often times just forget context or havent revisited the stuff since release.

he should be one of the strongest, naruto and sasuke have better statements but theres nothing really that stops choji from scaling to the higher ends of that era.

first it was Chino, then it was the 4 Kage, then it was Pre-MS Sarada, and now it's Chocho

That doesn't mean we can ignore consistent feats and statements with proper narrative backing simply because we don't like it
Ikemoto (and even Kishimoto) don't think you need to have six paths chakra/8 gates to contend with Otsutsuki tier enemies anymore. Off-screen push-ups are enough these days

I understand that this wiki considers everything in the game, except for the story mode cinematics, as a separate canon from the manga because certain things in the game contradict the manga. For example, jutsus that are in the game but not in the manga can be used in game profiles but not in manga profiles.

its less about the visual depictions of the kaguya's dimension and more just the mechanics of the jutsu, the actual AP of the jutsu and all that isnt canon.
so for example it would mean that Kishi intended for the ETSB be a jutsu that at some point explodes, which is consistent with its depictions across all other media.
