Mb, made that clear on the post

You can if you'd like, I still have stuff to do so I might be gone in a minute anyway
Ight for starters 3 possibilities.

1. What keeps Aminus from inflicting death on her? She does have Supernatural Willpower but I'm not sure how much it could contest

2. What keeps Aminus from immediately messing with her biology? Either mahitohing her, exploding her, removing all of her blood or punching her soul away, erasing her or forcing her to experience 10 times her own weight?

3. Other than Soul Manip, what other tools could she have to put him down? Seems like her only option

I have no idea what his first move typically is, but the vibe I get from his story is that he wants to protect humanity from the underworld and he is also apparently relatively merciful. Neither of these things scream at me that he'd be the type to immediately resort to using lethal methods like that on a human. It sounds to me he's just used things like this on hellspawn so this would be a very different situation.

Also, what exactly is the range on all of this? If he can just do that from a distance whenever then this looks like a stomp if I'm wrong about the last part or he gets desperate.

The aura can be negated by willpower but the minimum threshold is really vague. It just says you need a "Supernatural level" of it, which Asuna has plenty of.

Knockout, probably. Unlike Aminus, Asuna will slowly evolve and also adjust to his fighting style, like she did with Haruka who seems to pretty pretty similar to Aminus in that they're both notorious fighters from their own government’s perspective.

Aminus' Genius rating is also really questionable tbh, but I won't go into detail about that right now. Though I will say that even taking it at face value Asuna seems to have much better feats in terms of Strategising and making creative plans mid-fight, so if Aminus doesn't prevent her from coming up with a plan of attack fast enough I don’t think it's too unlikely she'd outsmart him and pull something like that off in that scenario, especially considering she's not far behind Aminus' durability at the start as well.

Other than that, though, I think she'd probably just target his soul outright once she realises that his regeneration is a big problem, like she and Shizu did with Kedron. Aminus doesn't seem to have any defensive measures for his soul either, so Asuna wouldn't need to overcome his will first.

He has no issues using his abilities on humans if he believes that they're a threat to him. He's already used them on characters like Deimos, Diavolo and Gunther and they're all humans. The merciful part is more on that he won't immediately go for the kill or execute you on the spot upon victory, although are we using their personalities for this?

Well it depends on which ability you mean specifically, as some are contact based, others have a certain range and others just require him to have eyesight on you

Low-key when I designed his aura for the first time the minimum threshold was unironically "average Asuna willpower level" so take that as you will, considering that was old Asuna. Although it's less negation and more weakening

Ain't gonna argue on the intelligence part

Yeah he has no soul res, as to keep him balanced in the verse since a lot of characters have soul based abilities, but neither does Asuna iirc, so for example, if he got close to her, would he just be able to punch her soul away or just outright kill her by slashing her? With the Archaic Malice he's 8 times stronger than her after all, and using his psychokinesis he could maybe keep her still or make her heavier so he can do the decisive blow, as the LS advantage isn't that big in comparison to Aminus' other physical advantages

SBA states that combatants behave how they would normally, it just assumes their goal is to win the fight by whatever means they want, doesn't have to be death if they're generally against it. If every match had the fighters bloodlusted it'd almost always result in a quickdraw scenario

I mean the one's like the blood/bio manipulation. If it's in-character for him to use those against humans and they aren't something that can be simply seen in advance and avoided then it they just become win-buttons and lead to a stomp.

What? Why her specifically?

Typically the willpower itself of Soul Energy users can protect from things like that, sort of like a shield. It's not as simple as landing one clean hit and that's that. But even then it's easier said than done because these two look similarly skilled and agile, and Aminus' chances of pulling this off will go down as the fight goes on for reasons already stated.

I doubt that's really going to be super decisive considering Asuna can do the exact same thing with the Hellbound skill and with nonetheless higher LS. Even if Aminus made her 100x heavier, she'd be very easily capable of moving around since her own bodyweight would still be minuscule in comparison to her LS.

Little crazy actually

Well I guess it would just depend on the context as to why they're fighting in the first place, that would decide the approach that Aminus goes, and if it's just to win no matter what then he'd just go for the kill.

Well the bio would require physical touch unlike the blood one, does Asuna have anything that could help her predict, stop or resist the blood manipulation? As it would take Aminus a good look at her to manipulate it.

She's cool.

Even without soul res, maybe Aminus could still have ways to protect himself or at least disrupt any attack made towards his soul, particularly using his stealth, pain manip, sound manip and maybe his aura to disrupt any moves made on his soul.

Speaking of it, in terms of physical damage she only seems to have High-Low regen, so how would she deal if she got struck with the Archaic Malice? Especially since the weapon can grow in size so even making distance wouldn't be of much effect

She has Instinctive Action which can help with that if she just needs to see it coming. It's dealt with plenty of surprise moves in the past.

I can't see the pain manipulation being effective at all considering the extent of it's effects are again really vague and having no examples anywhere as far as I know. Plus the fact that Asuna has superhuman endurance and pain tolerance already

The stealth and sound could work in some scenarios but it's not helpful in any way if Asuna has him cornered or can still see him. And even if she can't, she can still fight just fine when she can hardly see who she's fighting, like in the Dark Forest, and IA will cover her for surprises as well. I think at most it'd just be a defensive thing for him.

Asuna has dealt with plenty of things/opponents far bigger than herself before, so I don't think a massive sword is going to be too different for her to handle. Also, isn't that just going to hinder Aminus? A 200 meter-long sword sounds busted on paper, but typically in fiction it's almost always at the massive cost of speed when a character has to move heavy things like that. If it takes longer for him to swing than Asuna will definitely have no problem avoiding it then. And if that's not the case then why not have it at that size every fight? And how often does he actually use this in the first place?

If Aminus' win button abilities are out of the question then I think this comes down to a skill debate

Win button abilities? Do you mean like, blood manip and bio manip? Wait are you saying that if he used them he'd just win

If they can't be feasibly avoided and he's willing to use them whenever then ye it just becomes a stomp

If Aminus is adamant about using it then this is probably a stomp then. Or at the very least not a very interesting fight if Asuna is constantly having to stay out of sight to get around it. Seems like it's better to wait for more PoW content to drop

So uh, win for Aminus or like..nothing?
