It was overtime/ED for Dimensius' feat, he basically opened portals, fought them for years, and then overwhelmed and forced them out with a bigger army, so it can be assumed that the portal energies, similar to Ner'zhul's Draenor feat, was done by completely overwhelming the planet with energies and blowing it to high hell that way once the barriers went down

IIRC, it was because Dimensius was gathering energy by eating them Ethereals slowly over time before he blasted their Arcane shields apart and went to eat the entire Planet before T'uure sacrificed herself to save the Planet and banish Dimensius

Actually the Ethereal homeworld is named K'aresh and the one T'uure sacrificed herself on was Karkora, which is strange and fun lol

Oh yeah true. T'uure's [lore] description for the events seems to paint Dimensius' actions way quicker than his methodical destruction of K'aresh.
Especially given the implication that T'uure had to sacrifice herself, not just fight off Dimensius.

Fair warning though for making any WoW content, you'll be Stonewalled by that one guy who basically says "No." to everything and will sabotage any attempt to fix Warcraft.
