    That's not what it's based on, actually. It's based on the gap between Human and Peak Human levels of AP/Dura, based on the reasoning that peak humans can reliably one-shot regular humans with an unarmed strike to a vital but well-guarded area such as the skull or the ribcage just above the heart

Since he's not inside the accretion disk itself he's not tanking all 10×10⁶°C of it, but the amount of thermal radiation he's getting from being right next to it should probably still net a value worth calcing.
