Why is it that some CGMs tend not to evaluate Manhwa verses at all?
Some don't say anything, but others openly decide against evaluating Manhwa verses. I'm not going to mention any names, but those involved know themselves

Manhwa is a getting more popular in power-scaling circles and it's kinda unfortunate (and demoralising) that you would like to add one to the wiki and can't get calcs evaluated due to personal issues CGMs have with the genre.
I'd somewhat understand if it's just a single verse but ALL of them?
These are some of the reasons I think causes CGMs to abstain from manhwas:
1. A lot of bad calcs
2. Troublesome supporters
3. Bad art/panelling
4. Poor storytelling
I don't think any of the above warrants a total abstinence from ALL manhwa and/or unique to the Manhwa category, but that's just me.
You're welcome to add more reasons or elaborate on any provided above.

Note
This is to be a respectful discussion and not to be taken as an invitation to pile on any individual (CGM or otherwise)

Thank you.

Don't know about your experience but although it took quite some time the verses of Overgeared and Dungeon Reset which I was involved with had both calcs and CRTs approved. Although it seems most CGMs do avoid verses their are not knowledged on which makes it really hard for less popular verses such as manhws to be updated.

That's fair but you don't need to be knowledgeable about a verse in order to evaluate calcs. It's not like formula or pixel scaling logic varies across verses. The same calc logic that applies to JJK is also applicable to Lookism (as long as it's the same feat). Whether the calc is actually usable is left to CRTs
Also, CGMs taking only verses they're knowledgeable on is a serious issue to the health of this site. If a CGM is only knowledgeable on 5 verses and restricts their evaluation to just that, then they become useless in their position (sorry to be blunt). Especially when we have very few active CGMs in the first place

I don't disagree, recently I have been seeing many staff who retire which is already problematic but staff members are being way less active than they used to be with long periods of time where there is no staff member online. Also it's pretty clear that the process of adding new staff members doesn't take diversity of knowledge across multiple verses into account which often results in some verses having 5 staff members ready to accept/reject anything while most of the others have none.
Overall I don't think the problem is manhwas but actually is any verse that is less popular, even more popular verses often have to wait weeks until they get a staff member to vote, for less popular verses it's much worse with some CRTs or calcs having been "bumped" for over a year and still no vote.

it definitely does suck having an entire medium like Manhwa be blacklisted from evaluations by some members due to the more popular ones being controversial. This results in very less popular ones (like my Boy of Death verse), to be even harder to get certain evaluations/revisions for it 😔

though I feel like the underlying issue is more of just only having a very few selective active members willing to do evaluations/revisions. Only a few members completely restrain from not evaluating a certain medium.
