Welcome to Round 5 of Capture the Flag!

Stat Equitization stuff:

  • All stats except range, stamina, and intelligence will be equalized to the weakest character in use.
  • Amps and stat increases will be capped to a maximum multiplier of 2x. (I.e; if a character has a 10x amp, in this tournament the amp will be reduced to 4x)
    • Any one-shot or Blitz-level amps will also be capped at 2x.
  • All characters will be able to interact and see each other naturally.

VS Thread Scenario:

  • The TF2 rules of Capture the Flag are being used.
    • Like in TF2, if someone carrying the Intelligence teleports or turns invisible the Intelligence will automatically drop off them
    • 20-minute rounds and Sudden Death is in play if the timer runs out.
    • Teams are informed of the rules before their matches.
  • Fights will take place on one of TF2's CTF maps.
  • Teams start in the maps' opposing Spawn rooms. Fighters will respawn in their teams' spawn rooms when killed or BFR'ed from the map after 20 seconds
  • The Administrator, as the Announcer will inform fighters of their remaining time, if the Intelligence is picked up/dropped, etc. like in normal gameplay.
  • The tournament winners will get a near-unlimited supply of raw Australium and Australium weapons
    • Competitors are informed of the properties of Australium and what it can be used for.
  • All competitors retain memories of previous matches and have the option to spectate other matches as they occur.

Tournament Thread Rules:

  • 4 votes are needed for a thread to reach grace.
  • If a user concedes the opposing team will advance.
  • If a Team gets no arguments for around 2-4 days the opposing team will automatically go to the next round.
  • If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
    • If my team is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.

Team submission (MK3 Shang Tsung, MK4 Reiko, Chameleon, and Goro): 0Slap Battlers (Guide (The Slapstractor), Dodecahedron Dave, The Player (Using Swapper Glove), The Player (Using megarock glove)) : 1Incon: 0

Location: 2Fort Invasion

Chameleon and Tsung can teleport, Goro can jump really high and create AoE tremors in the ground, and Reiko is ... also there. Not too bad, I suppose.

Also, Tsung's telekinesis and soul-absorption is pretty dangerous.

both players have resistance to soul manipulation

What does that entail?

Tsung can still steal their lifeforce to empower himself.

Well, from what I've seen, Team Submission might have the edge here. They seem more skilled and have pretty decent abilities, but The Guide's Slaptractor. For now, I'll remain neutral and wait for other arguments.

Bump! Gonna be more lenient on the time given to debate for this round since both teams' submitters are busy.

Ok ive got time for a small bit so lets summarize the abilites to get this started

Slaps team is mainly goig to revolve around just stalling here, swapper is the most effective for this as they can swap places with anyone there directly looking at, preventing flag capture

Megarock is an invulnerable walk that turns anyone who touches it into stone. It grows bigger more poeple stuck in it, and objects can be put into it if the object is there when the rock is put up, allowing the flag to remain secure. Guides slapstractor can make the opponents floor go in random directions and spawn homing misslies and tentacles. (U need attack reflection to get rid of the msisiles) and dave can tie up opponents with rope (stats are equalized, so ls wont be a problem). Dave can also spam danmaku from a distance

Life manipulation wont be a problem cause if they die they have near instant ressurection thats soul based (just the players, dave and guide can very much die)

Team submission have teleportation via Tsung and Chameleon, Goro is a beast, can fight many opponents at once, create tremors with punches, and make massive leaps to get the drop on his opponents. Reiko is pretty good and has a lot of shurikens he can spam. Tsung can still absorb souls, just not destroy them, allowing himself to be healed, gain strength, AND acquire their abilities/memories.

whats the limits on their teleportatio if any? I dont think physical beasts will be a problem due to the massive megarock in the room. Slap has indefinite souls as decided in a crt so idk how that would really work, with eachother. SLaps abilites are just a bunch of fancy immortalites, the glove abilites are just fancy weapons, not innate. gonna be offline for a bit but will be back

They tend to just use them to teleport short distances to get catch opponents off guard.

Tsung doesn't need to absorb their entire soul to get all their powers and heal himself. Having indefinite souls actually helps him because that's a huge surplus of power to draw from.

Yes, the petrification will be a problem, but only really work once since literally all of them have ranged attacks and melee weapons.

Yes, but the problem with the petrificwtion is the only way to get the flag out of the rock (objects are allow to go in the rock of you activate it while near the rock), is to break it, and invulnerability plus petrification

Guide and Dave would probably be on offence, slowwong them down with ropes and using as much danmaku as possible. Dave can fly so the guy who's really physically strong, would that be a problem for him?

Once guides slapstractor gets broken he goes into his second phase with teleportation and earth manip, swapper can also prevent others from getting too close to the flag by swapping them out.

Why is the flag in a rock?

Dave can fly so the guy who's really physically strong, would that be a problem for him?
Briefly, but Goro's projectiles and vertically orientated jumping would ground him quickly.

from getting too close to the flag by swapping them out.
How does that work?

the swaping has a 850 stud range and swaps the user and whoever theyre looking ats positions.

Flag in rock cause megarock has a wierd side effect where objects can go into the rock if u were next to them while u turned into a rock

The slap battlers seem to have better arguments rn. I will note that even if the megarock's rocks can't be broken, I'm assuming they can still be moved (idk if this is the cause in-game, but it should be here). Team Submission could just carry the whole rock to their base. In fact, the intel being in a rock might make it easier for them since if they have someone who can teleport it, they can just tp it back to base, which wouldn't be possible if someone was just carrying the intel (since it and the carrier can't be tp'ed)

Telekinesis could help move it too, I suppose.

The rock turns you into stone if you touch it physically...
Telekinesis could help move it too, I suppose.
Telekenisis would, but I wonder if they with know that telekinesis would be the only safe option since touching the rock ggs

If one of them touches, the others will know.

But I'm willing to concede that your team will have an easier time.

Fairs, two questions

1.does any one of them seem more likely to touch it than others

2.who exactly has telekenis to move the rock?

Feel like my teams too focused on protecting the flag. No offence. Slap could attempt to use swapper to swap with whoever's closed to the cloud. And guide and Dave can get backup with vector manip and summoning ropes to tie them up

May I get a summary of the main arguments so far? I think I'm leaning Slap Battlers rn, but I'm waiting for a little bit more before I vote.

MK characters can fire projectiles, two can teleport, and Tsung can absorb strength and gain the opponents powers.

Both players can resist soul absorption (though it will keep bugging the opponent, slap just won't instantly die). Mega rock can keep the flag inside it with petrification, swapper can keep the flag safe and go for the flag by swapping positions with teammates and opponents, and Dave and guide have before manipulation, danmaku, and all other Bs like summoning binds on the opponent to prevent flag captireb

Yeah, Slap Battlers arguments seem stronger to me, so I'ma vote for them for now. If there are no new votes or big arguments, then Slap Battlers will move on tomorrow.

Ok so apparently when another roblox supporter was editing over slaps page a while ago, megarocks invulnerability addition went poof by accident. The page wa sunder threat of deletion so he did it really fast and may have rushed it. This kills the whole argument for slap and it wouldnt be fair for slap to win over something thats not on the profile even if it should be. I forfeit if its not allowed to do it

Well then, ig I'll swap in Team submission as the victor here if you're forfeiting.
