Hey since I haven't been on this wiki in a while I don't know what the context is with characters and such. Can anybody explain or describe what characters are like on this wiki now? Also please don't force me to read any of the profiles unless absolutely necessary

Basically, up until a few weeks ago, the majority of profiles coming down the pipeline were Godmodes (basically prioritizing being wanked to high heaven over being funny or original) usually loaded to the absolute brim with spam, crossed out statistics and numerous other strategies to appear as powerful as possible.

However, with me, Seol and Yellow swearing to never make a Godmode again and with numerous others sharing our distaste for them, Godmodes are for the most part not being made anymore, mostly with existing ones being updated now instead.

At this point, it's too early into this "new era" if you will to properly define what the new profiles after the Post-Crisis on Infinite Godmodes are going to be, but we're hoping it'll be more like the Old Gods of JBW.

So, under your definition, a "Godmode" is an OP and unfunny/unoriginal character, correct? It doesn't contain OP characters that are funny or original nor unfunny or unoriginal characters that are not OP, correct?

Well, technically, a character who is still funny but overpowered can also be called a Godmode, but the term in that case does not contain the full negative connotations that usually follow it.
