Expanding the Lifting Strength page

I noticed you commenting on the Naruto CRT concerning the Sasuke calc, so your thoughts here would be appreciated as well.
I guess my point is ultimately an echo of this statement:
Not for this case at least. You're just:
-finding LS from speed&mass
-finding KE from speed&mass

If using KE is considered invalid, I don't see how it makes using LS invalid.
In my view, we should more or less include a "KE" rule within the Lifting Strength page. So if a character performs a strength feat that should incur a notable physical effect that's not shown within the scene, it would be considered invalid. So for example, if Stars and Stripes' jump doesn't damage a plane, then it's probably an invalid application of lifting strength, while something like Saitama's jump, which does incur a notable environmental impact, would count under this assumption.

Of course, it's not perfect either, since you run into issues like "Superman pushing a planet should result in it exploding, but it doesn't, so the feat is invalid" which I don't have a really easy answer to.

Does catching a flying/falling object from crashing falls into Lifting Strength?

Does catching a flying/falling object from crashing falls into Lifting Strength?
That's a point I wanted to raise as well, yeah. I'm not sure about it.

Does catching a flying/falling object from crashing falls into Lifting Strength?
If they can stop the object from hitting the ground, yeah, as you need to overpower its momentum obtained through gravity.

Which staff members have thought what here so far, in summary? 🙏

The common opinion seems to be that jumping feats require a squatting/lunging motion to be valid and that swinging feats require a heavy and massive enough object to be valid (Kinda like we do with KE ig).

In any case these two cases of lifting strength should be listed as valid in the lifting strength page together with the other cases of LS.

Catching a falling or flying object and halting it is also something that’s been brought up and that should be listed as a valid LS case too (It is akin to throwing an object as it also requires greater strength than just lifting it)

Okay. As long as there is a strong consensus here among our calc group members and administrators regarding specific areas, they are probably fine to apply then. 🙏
