Armstrong can also catch your sword strikes in blade mode so they probably all have similar BM-like speed amps to where they would scale to it.

Doens't work because then it just loops around and makes Raiden as fast as his own Blade Mode n base, and even faster in Blade Mode.
Just creates a infinite circular scaling chain.

Armstrong would have to be significantly faster than Raiden in that case, because he catches it even when you're attacking his back. He just magically turns around in 1 frame.

And that's contradictory to this:

Although that statement looks more like a gameplay guide to the Revengeance difficulty where he actually one-shots you with each blow, because then you also have this:
which is contradictory to the "Even a single blow from him could prove fatal"

So it looks like there's a contradiction in any case.

I just finished beating Psycho Mantis in MGS1 and I was wondering if Mantis had some kind of plot manipulation?

I had to switch to Controller 2 to be able to hit Mantis because he could predict my moves in Controller 1, and he would throw a black screen with "Hideo" written on it.

Some user posted several links to some calculations related to metal gear on my message wall and is asking to go over them (idk why he sent it to me, because I'm a regular user and not a very reliable one to begin with). I did find some problems in the first two calculations (didn't have time for the rest).

Some of the calculations are off platform.

Where exactly should I put those calculations to check them? To the calculation evaluation forum?

I briefly looked at the VSBW ones already, so here's my opinon which you didn't ask for (just so you know what to expect)

I don't like how many of the calculations rely on explosion calculations, because those can be inaccurate and it kinda makes the whole thing look like an energy value taken out of context to scale everyone higher without any solid grounding.
It involves gas explosions, fire, vaporization, but I'd say it's difficult to even accurately determine how much of the energy hit the characters in the first place
