Plot/Narrative Question

Based on what I understand about plot manipulation, I thought it would be something like breaking the fourth wall, where the entire world is on a flat sheet of paper and the characters outside control it. So why in Marvel's Astral Form, it's have narrative?

Because it’s a story, if you have something better to call a story then plot then your welcome to suggest it but until then plot is the closest thing to a story that is in the official P&A

I mean, I thought that to get a plot, character needed meta-fic elements like I thought (Like the whole world is a flat surface on paper). But it turns out that's not necessary?

Story in marvel are meta, the whole house of ideas is the most obvious example, a fake house contained all cómics of Spiderman, thor, wolverine and other heroes calling them as Stories in Loki Vol 3 issue 3
