- When does/did the Eldar empire exist in your setting? Has it existed since pre-history, retaining uncontested power up until the modern day? Did the empire collapse in recent memory, sending its craft worlds to the darkest corners of the galaxy?
- If the empire collapsed, how do the different Eldar factions influence the setting? Do other civilisations hunt down the craft worlds for revenge? Which planets are victimised by the Dark Eldar? Are friendly relations maintained between the Exodites and other races? Do the Harlequins tamper with key events in your verse’s history?
- If the empire still exists, are there other civilisations that can stand up to them? Are the Eldar outclassed, or was an alliance formed between different civilisations in a desperate bid to resist them?
- How do characters react to the Eldar? Are they exacerbated that an entire race can partake in cruelty like a hobby? Are they jealous of their technology? Do they admire them for their strength and grace?
- Do factions vying for control seek out Eldar technology? Does the BBEG hoard/use Eldar tech? Is there an Eldar artefact that acts as a Mcguffin for the plot?
- Did the Eldar successfully bring about the birth of ‘She Who Thirsts?’ How does Slaanesh affect the power balance of the universe?
- Can the existence of Eldar gods be justified? Are they magical entities, immortal beings, or mythological figures?
