Where do I start with DC?

I wanna start reading more DC comics. So far I only own the New 52 Flash volume 1 and a collection of comics of Flash that came out a while ago celebrating 75 years of the Flash. I also wanna start to get into Superman comics but I'm not sure where to start for that. My main questions are this:

1) Will I be set with the Flash if I keep reading the New 52 comics?

2) What are some good Flash comics to read excluding New 52?

3) Where do I start with the Superman comics?

4) What are some interesting Superman comics to read?
