Getting ready for the infinite bumps
I'm still confused whether this should be a CGT or a CRT. I can see reasons for both. It'll be a CGT until I'm told otherwise
Addendum: This blog will also justify why Light Speed can be used as a baseline speed for Supreme Masters in calcs. This is more or less a formality as the general idea has been accepted in a CRT. This blog would just embellish it and make it easily accessible for evaluating CGMs.
That's all

Introduction
This blog aims to provide a solid justification for using lightning speed as a baseline when evaluating feats involving Superior-level Martial Artists. This includes both raw speed feats and kinetic energy feats that remain within established guidelines. Although this is not a formal calculation, it is being indexed for reference in anticipation of future feats involving these martial artists. Doing so will help prevent recurring debates whenever such feats are submitted for evaluation.Addendum: This blog will also justify why Light Speed can be used as a baseline speed for Supreme Masters in calcs. This is more or less a formality as the general idea has been accepted in a CRT. This blog would just embellish it and make it easily accessible for evaluating CGMs.
Lightning Speed
There are two main pieces of evidence for this assertion.Main
- In Nano Machine, readers are introduced to the Court Maid Supervisors of the Imperial Capital, who are explicitly described as being capable of moving and attacking at the speed of lightning. More importantly, Lee Hameng regarded them as being on par with practitioners of the Evolutionary Realm—also referred to as the Superior Master level, the Transformation Realm, or the Grandmaster level, depending on the novel or manhwa translation.
- In Descent of the Demon God, it is stated that a Superior Master can move at speeds close to lightning. While this is not explicitly lightning speed, additional context clarifies the statement. Due to modernization, Superior Masters of the DOTDG era are only able to access about 80% of the power appropriate to their level. It therefore stands to reason that a Superior Master operating at full capacity would reach approximately lightning-level speed if 80% is already described as being close to it.
Supporting
In addition to all that, Superior Masters also have feats that put them around the level of lightning speed. One of such feats was calculated to be Mach 1730.69. So, they not only have statements, but also feats to back them up.Criteria
As mentioned in the introduction, this applies to Superior Masters (and above). Since a lot of people aren't familiar with the verse, it would be specified if the character in question is at that level, and with the appropriate evidence attached.Light Speed
Main
This is more straightforward. Marakim, an inept stage Supreme Master was regarded multiple times to be capable of moving and attacking at the speed of light.Support
- Ko Wanghur, an entry-level Superior Master, came into contact with corrupted energy which allowed him to move at the Speed of Light. Yes, he was temporarily amped but cultivating with the help of Yeowun made him make the energy his own. Even at that, he still didn’t reach the Supreme Master level. Which meant that his powers were still inferior to those at that level.
- Yeowun analyzed the United Nations’ Time Patrol team to cap at the Superior Master level, even with their suits and weapons. Why is this relevant? The TP team had a weapon with them. This weapon shoots electron particles and is further described as a “blue flash of light”. Mind you, the TP guys also utilize electromagnetic waves in their suits. A bit wordy blog, but electrons in this condition qualify as 90-99% of the SoL.
