The former. It's honestly a bit janky on how to write it out even for a single ish line of text like that ngl.

I don't have any reason also to assume it's that much different from ours unless DB lore changed (haven't followed the series that much since DBS started tbf...)

Mmm, sounds about the same as our universe IRL if you ask me.

Koppamijin is "broken into small fragments; smashed to atoms; fragments and splinters; smithereens", but animals, unlike trees, cannot be splintered, yes?

I have really bad allergy flare ups right now so I'm not feeling very well atm and not really on here much than I already am.

Also, IDK why no other translator is on this thread. Are they busy? Because one translator doing all of this is too much, let alone for languages other than in JP so...
