Okay, so these two. While the thread specifically refers to the Ruby that forms Garnet, Rubies don't have the best role in gem society despite gems being loaded with military experience. A Ruby's best ability is fusing with others of it's own kind, which Ruby wouldn't get to use here. CG Ruby here is an apple that doesn't fall far from that tree; the only difference is she's able to maintain a fusion with Sapphire for 5000 years.
Rubies are typically are used as bodyguards or escorts for mid and high-ranking gems, like for example Sapphire and Holly Blue Agate (while a Ruby never escorted Holly Blue iirc, I think Holly Blue's rank qualifies), which... Well, all you have to do is keep an eye out for threats. Rubies take this pretty seriously, to a point where differences in personality (which is not intended btw) are small and easily fly under the radar. That and... Well, they can easily be fooled by a purple Jasper that is clearly Amethyst.
The intelligence section says that CG Ruby should be somewhat smarter, but I think the only intelligence boosts CG Ruby has is significantly higher emotional intelligence and somehow knowing wtf "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" is.
Sasha... Despite not really having any amount of years in military experience, Sasha must have some accelerated development going on as she swiftly became the general of the king's army. That and unlike Ruby whose best strength is the power of friendship, Sasha is very easily able to hold her own without having to use others as a crutch. That and... Well, pitting someone who is pretty capable of manipulation against someone of a gem species that can be easily manipulated is kind of a major L for Ruby.
I think Sasha takes this with ease.
