Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Discussion Thread

I see it as you're assuming that you wouldn't be scared, don't say that until you are actually in a life-or-death situation where someone is trying to kill you

I can say "I wouldn't be scared" and right now I might believe that, but ya can't know for sure until it actually happens.
 
But dareaperman, how am I insulting a group of people? Tf, and in that situation, I won't even have time for being scared, I would give up already lol
 
A random hooded figure shows up out-of-nowhere in a silent empty bar at night time whistling right next to you, introduces himself like he knows everything about you, threatens you, completely humiliates you and beats you in combat, almost kills you while giving you a permanent injury, and continues to taunt you while your life flashes before your eyes at the thought of being at death's door, and chases you while you run away. Any sane, rational human being would be severely traumatized if something like that happened to them.

Sorry for the foul language but you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Dread saying they're not scared of death is a tad edgy/weird, but nothing worth getting into a whole argument about.
Let's get down to brass tacks.
Death tries to murder Puss and makes him bleed, which scares Puss as it completely negates his statement of "never being touched by a blade".
Puss realizes that he's actually got a chance of dying for good this time, and retires due to fear of that.
That isn't fear manip, it's being afraid of being hacked to death by the physical embodiment of mother ******* Death it self.

Nah I would use my kung fu techniques to jump and one shot death then beat him and save everyone that were dead and then I would save 6 girls 12 kids and 4 man from a burning building while also remotely making 681 criminals realize their mistakes and come clean and then everyone will clap for the all mighty Shion

Since you seem genuinely confused; the reason it's insulting is because it's downplaying their trauma and their experiences by saying that if you were in their shoes, you wouldn't be scared of what caused them to be terrified and traumatized. Either that or you really think you've got the nerves of a veteran soldier.

Because you are assuming you are better then someone else, this isn't a case of you knowing you wouldn't be scared, unless you actually have been in a situation like that, don't say you wouldn't be scared

I was arguing about that specifically because it's what Dread turned his fear hax argument into, saying that if he were in Puss' shoes (or boots, rather), but against a normal person, he wouldn't be afraid, so that somehow means Death has to be using fear hax to scare Puss so much that his hair rose and he had flashbacks.

Because I don't care that much? I said you were insulting people by making that edgy and childish comment, not that it offends me or that it's "unacceptable".

What I'm wondering is why you keep saying this out of nowhere when it doesn't benefit the argument in any way. I'm just gonna ignore it if you say this again.

I only find it laughable the moment he brought “Hey, this is insulting if you act differently in this situation", because in all honestly, I never knew that acting differently would insult a group of people.

That's all, also I think in that scene, it is fear manipulation (as using CSAP standards and its guidelines), and I listed my reasons above, you got defensive about it.
 
And more than that, how no one comments on low 1-C rating but really pissed off about fear hax (which in matter of fact, he had it but got removed just recently)

This isn't a warning or anything of the kind, just a bit of friendly advice.

No, this explanation does not help any further, how in the field of common sense acting differently is insulting? Why would I be the same as others? You ain't helping here, and I am asking fairly, and I got clowned instead.
