Thematically tooru va makima is great, but in terms of animation...it sucks a little, no matter how much I want to, I don't think there's a way to do it well in the short time of a death battle...or in vs in general.

Even more ironic JJBA is supposed to be a franchise big enough in the west, contrasting and magnifying the fact that the popularity of Tooru vs Makima is far less than that of Satoru Gojo vs Makima.
(Oh while Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man are both new franchises popular worldwide, they have yet to come to Death Battle)
Oh Satoru Gojo vs Makima will have thematic connections plus popularity plus animation potential plus debate potential plus some more, making it a good choice Rooster Teeth should not miss while it ripes.

To be fair, JJK has a high popularity thanks to its anime, especially gojo which is well known for being a husbando lol, while Chainsawman overcame the manga barrier and reached even people who limited to consume anime, unfortunately jojos part 8 is a bit in the shadow of part 7, which makes tooru vs makima, not so popular.
And yes, while tooru is great in concept and theme, it loses at the animation level which I think is the most important thing anyway.

Batman vs Iron Man is like the only time I recall OST not hinting at winner by baiting Bats theme at end, and iirc that one was released after the ep. Maybe Trunks vs Silver from lyric point of view?

Looking at the Nem's predict vid, Trigon scaling to Spectre was mentioned, and thinking about it, they considered Adam Apocalypse even in power with similar scaling, Spectre and Phoenix Force.
Since Ive heard some mentions of this being close, maybe theyll stat equal again and have Raven hax win. It might actually be possibility.

I mean, as far as my personally restrictive mindset goes, yes. I feel like Phoenix stuff is probably better to use than Raven's.
But this is modern DB. All bets are off.
And unironically thinking about it now, they seriously have them comparable. Adam and Apocalypse was close, who got scalings to Spetre and Phoenix Force respectively. If Raven gets Trigon scaling who gets Spectre scaling, they might unironically be close in stats.
I am feeling some shenanigans happening now.

Afaik, Mxyzptlk vs Spectre is inconsistent. One time Spectre took away Mxy's powers, but then Emperor Joker had Spectre struggle vs Mxy's power.
