In this video, we see Gumball and Darwin "eating" themselves. This comes from the episode "The Procrastinators" where in a scene, Gumball and Darwin are appeared shoving their limbs in their mouth and eventually, eating themselves into nothing. They do reappear right afterward in the next scene. Does this count as possible Low-Godly regen since they basically ate themselves into nothing and then just come right back afterward?

This doesn't works because that's an off-screen thing
Instances of characters being wounded and inexplicably recovering off-screen should not be taken as evidence of regeneration unless supported by further context. This is due to reasons ranging from the possibility of off-screen treatment to continuity errors. See this thread for reference.

In that same episode, they have regenerated from blowing themselves away into dust, with the instant regeneration occuring in the next scene, so I don't see why it wouldnt work, hence their Mid-High regen. Also, there couldn't be any treatment because nobody was around to treat them. The two were home alone.

I honestly don't think that applies here.

What kind of "treatment"? They disappeared until there was nothing left, there's nothing to "treat".

Continuity errors from one scene to another?
We literally don't know what happened there as it was an off-screen incident. They may have resurrected, they may have vomited themselves up, anything can happen. There is not even a single thing about the method by which they saved themselves.

Same above

This is useful evidence, but the regeneration level is High, not Low-Godly. Gumball and Darwin had nothing left of them visible to us, so there could have been particles of them that are too small for us to see, like molecules or atoms.

No, because they didnt explode or anything. They ate themselves and popped out of existenxe

Nope. There was indeed nothing. Not even a speck of them was left.
You wouldn't be able to see a speck of them if there were microscopic remains.

It could've been deconstruction (the ability). I'd be willing to go along with a "possibly Low-Godly," but it's still worth mentioning the High level before it.

Pretty sure he doesn't have deconstruction. (After reading) Yeah no deconstruction. Pretty sure that feat can fall under possible Low-Godly since he literally popped out of existence with no remains whatsoever.

I was in a rush when I wrote what's in the quote, so I'll take the time to elaborate now.

What I meant by "I'd be willing to go along with" it is I don't feel it's important enough for me to take issue with the revision proposal in the case that staff members who have evaluation power agree with it, and I believe the "possibly" adequately represents the uncertainty of the matter. I know the clip is an example of the "cartoons can survive anything" trope at play and there's a 99% chance the writers didn't make the scene thinking about the nuance behind the implied regeneration, so I feel no need to be a stickler about what kind of regeneration this qualifies as.

With the aforementioned established, the VS Battles Wiki still has standards that I felt like pointing out, and I would also be willing to go along with staff members who have evaluation power disagreeing with the revision proposal. The decision to interpret the scene as the characters having "popped out of existence" rather than "popped like a bubble" or "popped out of visibility" is arbitrary as far as I'm aware, and the VS Battles Wiki's standards prefer processes that don't assume things. This means it shouldn't surprise you if you get unlucky and staff members reject the revision proposal.

So, my vote is to be neutral about the revision proposal.

This is fiction about characters who have the superpower to break science as long as it's funny: The clip of Gumball and Darwin eating themselves can be evidence of them having the deconstruction ability, intrinsically. If it's not listed on their VS Battles Wiki profiles, which are maintained by fans, it means we didn't detect it before, not that the characters objectively don't have the ability.

Have any Staff been contacted about this? Perhaps it should be brought up at the CRT Promotion thread, &/or the All Purpose Request Thread.
