Hello, long awaited step 2 is in the works.

In step 1 we established the Grey Hulk feat is an outlier and as such, dogshit to use.

But before that, an important part I want to clarify.

"Champion of the Universe is Thing-tier"

The biggest issue with this is that it is hyperfocused on making Champion of the Universe the same tier as the Thing, and like, genuinely every single time it gets mentioned, he also throws hands with Thor and Hulk in the very same issue

This scan is from Thor vs. Hulk: Champions of the Universe Vol 1 1, the same run where later on, the Champion fights a peak Thor and matches him (Issue 6)

And like, let's talk about Marvel Two-In-One Annual 7, I genuinely don't see why the absolute hell do we keep acting like this is a cohesive issue we can derive any scaling from, for instance:
Just, who keeps bringing up this issue? Why? It's powerscaling nonsense lol, this is the definition of a PIS feat, the writer WANTS the Thing to win, so he wins. I don't even think the Champion is even 5-B, the only real instant of that I can recall is the She-Hulk comic, which if you don't know, IS A COMEDY COMIC

What Zark Wants

So why am I bringing this up? Well, I simply don't think this planet-busting statement is attributed to Champion's first key, and if it is, then Champion's first key is too ******* inconsistent to scale off of.

Nothing definite, I probably want someone to put in the time to actually research this **** before giving him such a pivotal role of scaling 150 characters to 5-B off him, so this is more of a call to action than a revision-revision

ig as a heads up I will be taking this thread a bit more relaxed, since also working on filling some applications n shit on the side, so my responses would be a bit slower.

Just a note that the "Power Primordial" is officially the power source used by all of the Elders of the Universe. That was established long before Dan Slott's She-Hulk run. Dan only established that it also gives the Elders a stronger bond to the Infinity Gems, if I remember correctly.

Also, I think that the more recent issue wherein the Champion fought against Thor and the Hulk was not a part of regular continuity, but I may misremember that point or mix it up with the story in which Hulk used the power gem to become a master of martial arts in order to be able to fight against the vastly more skilled Champion. 🙏

That's just goes to show how terrible it is to use this character: His main power source has already been bungled by writers due to poor understanding. Definitely not a guy to use for scaling.

It's not alt-con, the artstyle makes it seem so but the Champion here is still 616 canon

My apologies, but I do not think that seems like a good argument. However, we obviously need to make a great distinction between Champion's feats with and without the Power Gem.

Okay. Never mind then. 🙏

It does seem like there's a lot of PIS going on here, so it would probably be better to find a connecting feat from a far more consistent issue.

To clarify something, you mentioned in the last thread that collecting new tier 5 feats would be done in a different thread. Is this the thread where we can do that?
Naw since currently we still have a few baseline 5-B scans I want to address, as said this thread exists because this is a potentially controversial rescale that would slow the next thread, which I do want to be about the feat recollection.

How much input are we gunning for? It's alot of pages.
Well, this seems to have been accepted, but we also need a clarified plan of approach for what we should do exactly, and the Marvel Comics characters have largely been vastly powered-up over the years, including The Thing, who has at least one 5-B level feat himself. 🙏
