Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Fire) vs Nami (One Piece) | 0-0-0

...

I'll wait for someone to give their thoughts. I don't know much about how this matchup will go.

... so the "fight" is just Tyrion bribing Nami. I don't see why this match was made.

To find out if Tyrion's social influencing alone will work and help him beat a character several thousand times stronger than him or not.

Nami would kill him before he could mount a convincing argument, other than that, Nami would have no reason to believe a word he said and he has no prior knowledge.

You don't need any prior knowledge to try to bribe your opponent with money.

Tyrion will just have to show her some gold coins he has on him to prove that he comes from a wealthy family, and if he doesn't have any he can just try to convince her with promises like he has done a few times in the books.

Tyrion is as good with words as his brother Jaime Lannister was with a sword (and he was one of the best)

The only way for Tyrion to win is to convince her to give up by offering or promising her a lot of money.
Nami isn't the type to do that, she steals money... She's already been betrayed by arlong, she's way wiser and cunning now with the way she deals with money, she also isn't dependent anymore on money with the way she used to be for her village

She's also around Usopp all the time, the number 1 Social Influencing user 😴

So Tyrion's main wincon is Talk-No-Jutsu? That's... not gonna help at all. Especially the fact that since no range was specified, talk-no-jutsu may not work at 100 meters let alone kilometers.

Speed Equalized, Tyrion will have time to say a word and Nami will have nothing to lose by listening to him
Nami would just need move her staff and summon a lightning and throw it at his head, that's her opening move which is faster than mount an argument or pull out a bag of gold and make your enemy pay attention to it.

Tyrion will just have to say "stop", "wait, I want to talk to you" or "wait, do you want to be rich?" and things like that at the beginning of the fight. You don't start directly by giving an argument or telling your life to talk to someone, that's obvious.

Why would that stop Nami
Why wouldn't that stop her? She'll have nothing to lose by listening to a dwarf who has no ranged weapon to harm her. It would be even better if Tyrion just started off by saying he has money or is rich. Plus, Tyrion is wearing castle-forged plate armor, so Nami will see that he's far from broke.

Then she'll just want to defeat him faster to steal the armor.

She's a thief not a business women, she has 0 reasons to hear him out... Plus even if she did, she wouldn't go for any bribes/promises and just steal everything after defeating him

She's also the type to torture someone instead

Tyrion has convinced people worse than Nami to work for him under similar conditions (As I said before, he is very good with words).

Tyrion will tell her that he has a lot of money because he comes from an extremely wealthy family, and she'll believe him given his armor.

Obviously she's going to be suspicious at first because she doesn't know Tyrion but she has nothing to lose by trusting him because if he lies to her she'll just think she can easily eliminate him and steal his armor (which she can do). But when she sees that House Lannister is really VERY rich and that Tyrion keeps his promises, she won't regret giving up.

that makes no sense... Why wouldn't she attack him after? Or even before? Again, she isn't someone that is gullible or merciful and she would instead torture/use her superiority anyway to gain the money IF she were to even try to listen to him (that's literally what she does and how she is, so it doesn't matter if he tries to bribe her)

She's willing to win still, so it doesn't matter if he tries to bribe her, she will betray him and that promise and try to win still, defeating him
