Also the issue is that he’s TOO much like quagmire, where most of his crimes are played off as jokes. At least with the others they’re enjoyable enough to ignore like alastor or Adam but for val it’s weird

You can like Val as a character (or rather his writing) tbh, cause his character is ENTIRELY being an unlikable sexual deviant, and they do a good job of getting that across. I really don't think there's meant to be anything deeper to him. He isn't like Vox who has actual drive and goals beyond degeneracy, and has gone through things that have pushed him towards his pursuit of power

Vox moreso implies he does, since he finds Val's abuse of Angel funny.

Its stated in Season 1 she makes and sells lust and love potions, we see her making them in Season 2. I don’t think I need to explain why making that type of potion is pretty much SA

Tbf the only ones I can protect here are Alastor and General of Exorcists (in a sense that they are better than others). At least Alastor has some genuine friendship like Mimzy, Niffty, and maybe Husk, while General of Exorcists' genocide can be justified cuz they are sinners etc. (though this is mostly all messed up because VivziePop does not know how Heaven and Hell are supposed to work and that in series, Hell is not shown as that bad of a place, but both Charlie and Аngеls present it as really bad despite that, so it's more of a premise of the series being fundamentally flawed and thus I can't definitively say whether Charlie or General of Exorcists is morally right in the end of the day. Of course, he has some other terrible things like pride and constant disregard of others, etc., but still better than the Vs).

I would agree General is not that bad but he does openly admit he enjoys the exterminations which I think puts him as the second most evil character we have seen right behind Lute

He seems to genuinely like Niffty, as he lets her be around him and on him, and he seems to have given some degree of freedom to Husk in-between using him for stuff like Hotel from Pilot. Also, in Episode 4 he made a deal with Vox so they are allowed to go, which hints to me that he does care about them. (And that honestly is a good direction for his character)
Yeah, but one can argue that it isn't bad when it comes Sinners in this context, who are the worst people, hence why I'm saying I can defend him.
And that again stems to the premise of the show being fundamentally flawed.
That's the main problem with Hazbin in general. It has good moments, great songs, but the main conflict and premise are so poorly thought through that it overshadows it all.

I mean, it depends on his plan, he doesn't seem to like husk THAT much since he was willing to kill him. Nifty i do think he likes the most. Depends how his character goes since his whole song is about how he doesn't like being seen as this altruist. I do hope he comes out to be the main villain though.

True, he can go any direction, and I honestly wish he gets to some peak as a villain in Seasons 3-4 (that was my prediction since Season 1), but the point is there at least some humanity in Al compared to Vees.

Btw episode 4 really solidifies Superhuman Stamina for Alastor. I mean, Vox was literally pressuring his wound, his weakest point, and made it bleed and yet he kept his smile wide.

It's kinda crazy this verse doesn't have a lot of speed feats. you'd think by now they'd have a lot more, especially above supersonic.

Honestly rewatching the fight, I have a strong feeling that Alastor didn't really intend to win and being captured was part of the plan. I also feel like his constant mentioning of his first win against Vox and how he is going to win second time is just a genuine ragebait than anything. Also I'm 99% sure that Niffty/Husk part of the deal was made up cuz their intervention wasn't part of the plan, so he had to secure them too.
Man, I'm genuinely intrigued with what Alastor is up to. He is finally being mysterious without screaming "look how mysterious I am!". I can see why people say he became closer to his Pilot self now.

Yeah, I ain't saying that he could have no diffed Vox by just looking at him or something. I'm just saying there probably was some holding back, as he needed to make his defeat as believable as possible, as otherwise Vox would be suspicious. It also aligns with the fact that he is still called the strongest Sinner by Rosie (even though he lost 1v1 to Vox in the end of the fight off-screen). It's definitely part of the plan. But I wouldn't go as far as to say that Vox doesn't scale, as there was some genuine weakness seen too (fritzing while trying to do magic, tapping the cane, wound was clearly not a pleasure).
