People are free to prefer one aesthetic over the other, yet I find it annoying -- hmm, let me rephrase this for the laffs -- I find it annoying when some people say that blowing big stuff up is automatically better than anything else. I don't much care if DMC is never T1 or whatever (though I'd prefer for what is there to be read correctly) but let's not pretend that gigakabooms are all that matter, even for just goofy things like powerscaling. There's more to an aesthetic than that. But if gigakabooms are all you're after, then you'd be better off reading Suggsverse or maybe those ludicrous Chinese pulp novels that say stuff like "they threw a kazillion punches in the span of a heartbeat" than pestering DMC threads with bad downplay headcanons.

Nice info collection, though I don't see any of that concretely being T1. Metaphysics and subjective reality in fiction can be more "parallel" as opposed to qualitatively superior in all respects like Azathoth's dream and whatnot. Do continue gathering stuff like this, though; I doubt major upgrades are in order but I like seeing motifs gathered and contexutalized like this and it may help pave the way to upgrades if anything more concrete is found.

I rewatched the Death Battle and they mentioned that in the DMC5 guide it says Nero couldn't regenerate his arm because "Vergil removed Nero's demonic power." Later they talked about V and said "V would decay without constant use of demonic energy."

I think it also comes from Dante and Vergil 2nd fight in DMC3 where both were tired and wounded as Arkham/Jester says, allowing to dunk on them

I mean, to be fair Nero took a hit when it comes to demonic energy and even Malphas calls him an empty shell/husk because of that regardless of his relationship with Sparda.
But that MF definitely still has regeneration, Urizen gave him a beating the first time and he was like nothing after that (in Visions of V)

In any case, the argument less or more demonic energy = less or more regeneration from Death Battle may make sense since Dante heals faster in Devil Trigger, and Agnus also healed when he absorbed the demonic energy of the demons he summoned.

What they imply though is that Dante will die from Clive once he's out of DT/SDT cause it drains his energy, and thus his regen.
Which I'm pretty sure isn't true, even in gameplay perspective.

But that's after a full day growing fat on power thanks to the Qliphoth pumping his ass full of blood, we have no idea how the fight went down prior to that

I think we have wrongly assumed that all the scenes where we see Dante, Vergil and other demons struggling to regenerate are regeneration negation when they are just evidence that their regeneration is just linked to their stamina (especially since it is never explicitly stated that regeneration negation is involved).

It could just be a limit to his regeneration. Demons don't all necessarily have the same regeneration.

So a High Tier Demon who also get turned into a Devil Arm that is known to reconstitute from spiritual matter is also somehow incapable of regening an eye?

Pure Demons doesn't have a statement of being tired... Weakened, yes. Sparda inflict a wound that even Beowulf couldn't Regen, Bolverk had a scar in the past prior fighting weakened Sparda. Mundus still having so much power to kill Dante in DMC 1, but dude is weakened and his regeneration got slow because Dante using his father power. If it does tied to stamina then Vergil would've been sliced in two at the end of DMC 3.
Sid with Abigail power show that he could regenerate from puddle of blood, yet Dante destroy him completely without him being tired or having stamina issue.

There isn't even any evidence that High Tier Demons can regenerate their injuries when they return from their Devils Arms forms (as far as I know).
