This is the 6th match btw.

I have nothing for this, honestly speaking. Swordsman vs Pikewoman. In theory, the latter should win thanks to weapon triangle advantage.

  • Newly Reincarnated Lay Grandsley & Choice Arc's Chrome Dokuro is used
  • Speed is equalized
  • Both are in-characters
  • Starting Range: 50 to 100 meters (Kisaragi, pls decide on an exact value)
  • Battlefield take in Island Of The Dolls
  • Win via anything (K.O, Incapacitation, and death)

Come
Finally, an opportunity to use this mf
42 Gigatons
I'd like to add in Mountain God(58.77 Gigatons) and Chrome Dokuro-Choice Arc key(13 Gigatons)

Lay has the stat advantage. Demons on his level are resistant to piercing, slicing damage and won't really bat an eye if an attack explodes inside them and this is from an opponent stronger than they are.

Going just by the profile, I believe he outskills her badly and if he doesn't, he'd catch up and surpass her in one or two exchanges of blows

He’s not even going to be able to hit Chrome. She'll be dancing around him with her Real Illusions the entire fight and whittle him down.

The purpose of magic eyes is to see through to the true nature of all things, as well as look into the abyss which is literally to discern, analyze and obtain information about something. His eyes will tell him what is real and what is an illusion. Lay himself can directly see the fundamental concept of existence of a person.

Her illusions are not fooling him not to mention his sword will neutralize any illusions on contact. There'll be no dancing around being done either and one will realize that it ain't possible to whittle him down if they looked at his stamina section. If I also didn't make it clear, she basically can't deal any significant damage to him

Chrome has Extrasensory Perception Negation and Resistance to Power Nullification.

Also, read the description of Chrome's ability.
  • Real Illusion: Normally, illusions are illusions that the Illusionist puts in the mind of one person, but Real Illusions are illusions that are put on reality and have an actual existence and mass. When Mukuro uses their illusions with the power of Mist Flames' Construction characterization, they will create Real Illusions. This would make it possible for their Illusion to be experienced in reality. The difference between Real Illusions and normal Illusions is difficult to distinguish. Real illusions can also physically harm people.
The name is as literal as it sounds. She's creating actual objects. And the illusions she creates can pretty much insta-kill due to Extrasensory Perception Negation
Illusion: Like Mukuro, she uses his psychic powers to make their enemy feel, see, hear, or smell things that aren't there. Basically, every illusion is dealt with through the mind. In the case of a first-class Illusionist, it's possible to even kill the enemy with illusions. For example, create an illusion of lava erupting, make opponents believed it was real for one second and make them burn. However, if the enemy is aware that they are experiencing an illusion, it will have no effect on them and does not exist.

Which he resists and don't make me go into layers. Initio isn't standard power null and works through cutting and negating the very technique or working mechanism behind a power.

Even if she creates real illusions of herself or others, what exactly can any of that do to him? He absolutely skill stomps and will have no problem dancing around what she throws

If the opponent believes it's real. Regardless of creating actual things via illusions, Lay would always know that they are illusions

She can also make real illusions of Mukuro and any other allies for herself as seen in her fight against Glo Xinia

Lay's magical eye allows him to see even the fundamental concepts of his opponents, so Chrome's illusions would have to possess their own fundamental concepts to have any chance of deceiving Lay.

They are literally illusions on reality itself
Looking into the abyss allows one to see the whole truth about that person.
“I am the proof. My magic power, that is. That said, the Magic Eyes of this generation are too weak to peer into the abyss of my power.”

To analyze, to study, to discover the truth... There were many ways of describing it, but the most widely used and all-inclusive phrase was to “look into the abyss.” To look into the abyss of magic was to understand its truth and embody it, but to look into the abyss of one’s power was what it meant to understand the true value of another.
Magic Eyes sees through illusions.
And Misha? She was perfectly safe. There was no change to the magic barrier.

“What’s the meaning of this? Lent definitely triggered...”

Sasha stared at Misha with her Magic Eyes. If she stared deeply into the abyss, she’d see that the barrier, knife, and blood were all fake—mere illusions created by my magic. I’d healed Misha’s wound with Ent long ago.

It was simple, really. If the barrier connected to Lent was destroyed, then there was nothing for the linking spell to activate.

“Lynel? No way... When did you...?”

“The moment I saw her, of course. I wouldn’t be much of a good guy if I left my friend to die, no?”

As soon as I’d noticed Sasha was plotting something, I had cast Lynel to observe what she’d do.

She can also make real illusions of Mukuro and any other allies for herself as seen in her fight against Glo Xinia
Up to how many? Unless she can continuously throw thousands of real illusions at him constantly, they aren't beating him.
Chrome has Extrasensory Perception Negation that negates this
Anti-magic negates the effects of magic eyes and Lay can still read his opponents with his eyes. His ESP, info analysis and clairvoyance is layered (I'm taking 20+ layers).

Yeah, I don't really see much point in continuing this further so I'll just concede here. Man Chrome got really unlucky for her first matchup.

I don't know either of the character's, and I frankly don't feel like going through the profiles, but I would like to inquire a question.

From what I'm seeing, the dude's got the ability to see through any illusion since he can view the personal concept of anything he views.

However, the illusions of his opponent aren't even illusions unto him, but reality, and thus become real.

Wouldn't that just mean he wouldn't see them and have to deal with a bunch of invisible opponents jumping him? The illusions aren't fake from the sounds of it. It's just straight up manifested/created into reality by casting an illusion onto it.

Magic Eyes has the ability to see people who have become invisible.

I'm counting it as a vote to speed things up.
I don't think we're on the same page here. When I say I concede what I mean is I think Lay should just be declared the winner since I don't see how Chrome could stand a chance. This is because her combat ability isn't really that high and her fighting style relies on her mixing Real Illusions and her normal illusions in order to confuse her opponent, which can't really work here since Lay can see through her normal ones, and from what I remember the highest number of Real Illusions she can make is 3 which iI don't think is enough to work against Lay. With that said, if someone has a another argument for Chrome then I'll vote for her, but if not then I think Lay should just be declared the winner cause this seems like a stomp.

This Chrome should have up to 8-9 layers of Mind Manipulation but I've dropped revisions on KHR.

I'm not really interested in this fight though as much as I love KHR
🕊️

Okay, so would he see the illusions or not. People were saying he sees through illusions so he wouldn't see them, but when I said they'd beat him up while invisible because he sees through them, now he can see them?

I'm not arguing for any side btw, I'm just curious.
"Seeing through illusions" isn't meant to be taken literally, it means he will know that those are illusions or can discern the real illusions from reality.

And the real illusions that'll be attacking him? He'd have to fight those too
Can barely damage him due to a 3.2x stat difference as well as durability that covers piercing and slashing damage. At best all her attacks will stop at the bone. Skilled enough to run circles round them, can blow them away with wind pressure coupled with the stamina to keep going for days at the very least

This is dealing with any illusion in KHR, TBH.

Any ability that deals with the fundamental aspects of reality is just coded to beat KHR.

To give a quick summary:

Fake Illusions are psychic attacks that work by, most of the time, making psychic energy constructs that have no real substance until those perceiving them believe they do, at that point they're indistinguishable from real stuff and can cause real damage despite not having real substance.

Real Illusions are the same constructs being granted substance by the Construction aspect of the Mist Flames, now they will damage you regardless of you believing or not because at this point there is an actual physical force behind the fake lava eruption, the fake shuriken, or whatever the Real Illusion takes the form of.

These magical eyes or whatever should be able to deal with the former pretty easily, the latter you can literally just brush away if you're strong enough (and given the AP provided in the OP, Lay is more than strong enough).

I am not even really sure why they're indexed as reality warping, this ability is explicitly what happens later on when they acquire the Reality Gloves.

Btw you can add the fanarts of combatants, the reason I didn't do it on my matches because I wanted to done it later on but all my matches ended up way quick or fell into an issue like Law vs Kuuga kekw

How about we make it more special by giving fanarts/gifs for the contestants around quarter final/semi final matches onwards?
