Introduction
As a celebration for Azure Striker Gunvolt’s 10 Anniversary (birthday Aug 2014), I’m gonna be doing a multi-part verse revisions, including buffs and nerfs- before I start working on more long awaited profile completions. This is Part 4 of 4 (currently). It’s 2026 now- making this the 12th Anniversary, but it can’t be helped- I got busy, and I will not be doing much powerscaling for awhile because of that- so the rest of the GV3 Profiles are still on hold- though I may still continue to add scans and references to existing profiles.During my time away, Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced (2025) has released, introducing two new Skills for Gunvolt, that being Electroshock and Shadowstriker
Attack Potency
Let's get the most controversial topic out of the way first. Well, aside from this recalculation of Tenjian's City Freezing Feat (Nerf)The Microdegenerator
Microdegenerator
We gave a new calculation that puts the verse to Small Planet level in some capacity - this, is undeniable, however...The issue does not come with the calculation itself- but rather who scales to this microchip that has not shown any offensive application, and even the resulting gear it is used to create seems to only help with energy efficiency rather than raw attack power.
The best way to use this calculation is to go case by case with its implications-
The Grave Pillar
Starting with the least controversial application of this calculation is The Grave Pillar. I will simply copy and paste the calculation's rationale to make is extremely clear that the Grave Pillar is definitely scaling above the Microdegenerator in terms of "technological advancement".In addition to this, it is stated that the Grave Pillar has the capacity to destroy the world- as the Mother Computer (who controls it entirely), specifies that she wants to use the Grave Pillar to "reset" the world with its "might"- and that her goal is to simply "destroy everything", so we can gather that resetting just refers to some worldwide destruction. In the hard mode cutscenes, she specifically states the world will perish should everything go according to plan. We also know that is definitely some kind of laser weaponry- given that it seems like Autochrome has access to this weapon that is enough to destroy the Grave Pillar itself- where it is described as such. The world (Luminous Avenger iX2) in which the Pillar exists in is an alternative world where humanity has gone extinct, and the only beacon of civilization is the area near the Pillar- yet the entire world is considered to have technology far superior to Luminous Avenger iX timeline, which branches from the bad ending of Azure Striker Gunvolt- where the Microdegenerator can be found. Now, one may be asking that the person (the robot bit named Lola) saying that must require to be around during the original Azure Striker Gunvolt to say that, and she was- as Copen states that she was existent while he was in the orbital elevator (Babel) during the events of Azure Striker Gunvolt.
So, it's pretty clear that the Grave Pillar can destroy the world- and considering that the Microdegenerator clearly isn't as dangerous as something like that, given it's just a collectible material item- it's safe to assume that the output of the Grave Pillar is at least higher than its ability to create a small black hole. Otherwise, it would be contradictory to the agenda Inti Creates seems to want to push with this alternative timeline being more advanced.
The only two people who can activate this device are the Mother Computer and Autochrome- this gives them an extra attack that is tiered differently at Low 5-B
We will be back on the topic of the Grave Pillar later, but for now-
General Scaling
This is the controversial one- and the most important part of the CRT for moderators to pay attention to when it comes to evaluation, as everything else is pretty clear cut.For those unaware for why people may argue for this to actually scale to the main cast, namely, Gunvolt himself- there is some lore that needs to be explained. Sumeragi has an "energy problem"- where they simply cannot generate enough energy for their needs, and because of that, they wanted to look to Adepts (Psychic, the superpowered people of this verse) for solutions to this energy problem, seeing them as a means of free energy. Thus, their goal was to artifically create Adepts which can control electricity to do such a thing- such as Gunvolt and Asimov to essentially act as batteries for the whole country in a project called "Project Gunvolt".
(For additional context, Sumeragi is basically the ruling conglomerate of the entire country- think something similar to Shinra from Final Fantasy VII or really any other oligarchy in a futuristic dystopian world.)
This is an excrept from the Nintendo Dengeki profile of the subject back in 2016
So those who scale this verse structure the argument something similar to this:全人類永遠の課題であるエネルギー問題を解決するため、皇神が極秘裏に推し進めていたプロジェクト。
It’s a top-secret project carried out by the Sumeragi Group to solve energy shortages, the eternal task of all humanity
By nurturing the Seventh Inducers extracted from the corpse of the original Lightning Psychic, and by transplanting them into kidnapped children with no relatives or into clones, they intended to create more Lightning Psychics as research samples, but ever since the only successful subject, GV, escaped from them, there haven’t been any other successful subjects
This isn't bad logic, but we never knew if Gunvolt could really produce the kind of energy Sumeragi needs for sure up until Azure Striker Gunvolt 3- where Gunvolt does just that."If the Microdegenerator was not capable of creating, producing, or otherwise obtaining enough energy to satisfies Sumeragi's energy requirements- or rather, if Sumeragi has technology that can create enough energy to make a black hole, yet this was not enough for their needs- YET Project Gunvolt would be enough to do so- THEN, those who scale to that ultimate goal (namely Gunvolt) SHOULD scale above the Microdegenerator! Boom- Low 5-B!"
However, it's still a bit fishy- so, I've pasted my thoughts right from the blog
But yet, it's pretty obvious that Inti Creates wanted to make Gunvolt the most powerful being in the verse- after all, they've even expressed concerns over it
- On one hand, Azure Strikers are stated to be the solution to Sumeragi’s energy problems, and in Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 this is proven as Gunvolt himself becomes the main energy source of the entire country, solving their energy problems. Azure Striker Septima have been known to “call forth unlimited energy”, and create the “infinite energy” that Sumeragi was after to create a “semi-perpetual motion machine”. Moebius considers Gunvolt a threat because of his immense power, which one could argue should be superior to dangers of creating a micro-sized black hole to generate energy because Moebius doesn’t view anything but Gunvolt as such a threat.
- On the other hand, we’re not exactly sure what Azure Strikers being Sumeragi’s best means of solving their energy crisis actually entails that he is generating that same amount of energy as the creation of their black holes at one time, or if it's just more stable and consistent. One can argue that Azure Strikers were so value as energy sources because they can theoretically provide an indefinite amount of energy forever more like a perpetual motion machine rather than produce a huge amount all at once. Thus, this argument can be extremely iffy as to be applicable to specifically Attack Potency, which relies on dealing damage all at once.
Yet, the Microdegenerator itself is just weird, while the JP says that it "generates a small black hole AND a huge amount of energy", the English version (albeit- the description was done by 8-4, which notoriously mistranslated the first two games extremely heavily before Inti Creates in-house translators redid most of the script aside from the descriptions like this one) says that it creates a black hole which then generates energy. I can only assume that its like referencing the energy being given off in the form of hawking radiation- which is just counterintuitive since you had all the energy there in the first place? Again, its done by 8-4, who straight up makes characters say things or emote in ways they clearly did not - but in this case I wouldn't really be surprised if the JP version actually did mean what 8-4 said, even if its not in the literal translation.
When they finally showed Gunvolt off, they literally promoted Gunvolt as just completely overpowered- literally attributing his not having a health bar due to his sheer power and Prevasion ability- and a world destroyer4Gamer:
(Machine Translated)
4Gamer:
So, please tell us about Gunvolt, the protagonist throughout the series.
Aizu: <----- CEO of Inti Creates
I can't say much yet, but people often say, "Gunvolt is set up as the 'strongest Seventh Wave user,' but isn't Acura stronger?" Tsuda was very conscious of that, and this time, a truly strong Gunvolt will appear.
Tsuda: <----- Vice President of Inti Creates, main author of Azure Striker Gunvolt
I said it half as a joke, but it really turned out that way. Gunvolt has always been a strong and cool character, and we added various elements based on the policy of making him a playable character that feels good to control.
Aizu:
We will be able to tell you more about Gunvolt either just before or after the release.
So, while it is extremely weird to scale these characters off of a microchip- which, I personally am not a fan of, it's not like the claim that "Gunvolt scales above the Grave Pillar and a dang microchip" is completely unfounded either. Some would say that the Microdegenerator is an outlier, especially when it doesn't get used in any destructive manner. I would agree with that sentiment, but when we have two plot points from different timelines (Vanishing World and the Grave Pillar) hinting at the destruction of the entire world- I can also see why other people would think that it's gotta at least be comparable
Because this can be debated in both ways, I feel like the best way to resolve the conflict is to simply leave it as a "possibly Low 5-B" and leave it at that. when it comes to those traditionally scaling to the Microdegenerator.
Sumeragi Kardashev Level
Lastly is a creating a Kardashev Level for the Sumeragi Group, who... makes a produces these things as the defacto leaders of the country- as well as these microdegenerators being picked up at their facilities.Sumeragi as a society does not have any page on VS Battles right now, but, if it were to, it would get a rating based on this- as the Kardashev scale is used in a way to scale civilizations based on how much energy they harness, which in this case, would be directly from the Microdegenerator
The Grave Pillar
This CRT is not solely focused on Upgrades, but also making it clear that some arguments are likely not acceptable on this site, and I will likely create a blog going over these topics in... a lot of time... I would much rather list them on the verse page giving reason as to why certain ratings cannot be used- which is what this section of this CRT is forAs stated before, the Mother Computer and Autochrome are the only two people with authorization to utilize the Grave Pillar's maximum might- enough to destroy the Grave Pillar itself
So- destroying the Grave Pillar is a feat in of itself, how impressive is that really?
By now, people would definitely track where this argument is going- a replication doesn't take away from the fact that is's still equally real- so, that's a 4-A rating...
Except...
This alone makes destroying the Grave Pillar just destroying the connection between the planet and that space enviornment, rather than containing an entire space with a starry background
When someone sees this statement, they may go "sepereate space = seperate universe", but this is easily disproven by the fact that the Hanging Gardens take up a finite space (as shown on the Grave Pillar Map). So frankly, it's not really much to work with.- but it would the Grave Pillar give a specific "hax ability" to destroy "isolated space" as that was the Mother Computer's plan.
So with all of that said, all of these arguements are completely debunked
So- destroying the Grave Pillar is a feat in of itself, how impressive is that really?
Space Block
The key to finding that out is what it contains- that being replications of real life enviornments, and among them is Space Block, emulating outer space- even able to replicate low gravityBy now, people would definitely track where this argument is going- a replication doesn't take away from the fact that is's still equally real- so, that's a 4-A rating...
Except...
Volcano Block
Each of the Blocks with various enviornments, including Space Block- are connected to other points in space- in JP, the statement goes like this:塔の中に火山...どうやってるのか見当もつかないけどもしかして、別の空間に繋いでいるかな?
これだけのオーバーテクノロジー。たしかに異世界に渡る技術があっても、不思議じゃないかも。
A volcano inside of the tower! I’ve got no idea how they pulled it off, but maybe it’s linked to another “space”?
Seeing all this “over technology” makes you think they did have the tech to cross over to “other worlds”
This alone makes destroying the Grave Pillar just destroying the connection between the planet and that space enviornment, rather than containing an entire space with a starry background
Hanging Gardens
The Hanging Gardens are a place above the Grave Pillar- which is affixed (in JP "isolated) in space- meaning the only way to enter and exit is through teleporters or just enhanced knowledge of the place.

Speed
Now onto the absolute least controversial stat changeThis should be the least controversial addition as it's pretty blatant. The entire cast is granted MFTL Speeds.
For those a bit confused as to WHY the entire cast scales... this blog already explains everything you need to know about this topic. But if you're too lazy to click one link... this is the most direct way to scale it.
Blade reacts and deflects these lasers. And while someone might say "she doesn't even move to defend, how can you know she reacted to it"- that is a disingenious argument to claim that Copen is purposefully aiming for her sword while they are both actively moving to fight each other- but even still, Blade's design is entirely based on the Sumeragi Ninjas, which actually do react and deflect to projectiles being shot at them, and they take the same exact pose Blade does. In addition, Blade was brainwashed by Asimov in this continuity to be like them, as he straight up as a fascination with these "Sumeragi Ninjas" on a near comical level (I would watch the start of the video to around three minutes because it is literally three minutes of Asimov raving about the topic)
Due to how Blade scaling works (she originally was a human with no powers and got Gunvolt’s GV1 Septimosome (as Gunvolt dies in this timeline) to become an Azure Striker), this affects the entire cast of this verse- as Gunvolt in Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 obviously fights... the Gunvolt 1 cast...

Lifting Strength
Microdegenerator
Microdegenerators need to be grabbed and lifted, which would be Class Z, however the device is stated to CREATE a black hole, not that it is a black hole existent at all times that Gunvolt or Copen casually pick up. So, this does not imply any upgrades to Class Z.Astral Order
Astral Order is able to straight up attract/draw/pull universes and even makes them converge. Physically pulling around universes is definitely an Immeasurable Lifting Strength feat.Stamina
Gunvolt's Stamina in ASG3
Between Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 and 3, Gunvolt becomes a Primal Dragon- and searching for a solution, he turns to Sumeragi to keep himself under control.During that entire time, he was simply berserk the ENTIRE TIME, despite being "sealed"- and during that time, he was basically used as a battery for the entire country nonstop for decades (see AP/Microdegenerator section and Project Gunvolt)- and Adepts must be concious to use their powers- including Gunvolt
Thiis much is already accepting on our profile- however, I propose a possibly Infinite rating on top of that. Considering that narratively, Sumeragi was going to use Gunvolt indefinitely- along with the fact that Azure Striker electricity allows for the creation of infinite energy and semi-perpetual energy machines- Gunvolt more than likely would have never ran out of conciousness if the story decided to have him continue powering the city instead of breaking free.
Copen's Stamina in iX
The "semi-perpetual energy machine" above references Copen's helper bot, Lola- and since she is... a robot- she needs power to stay active- and since she is using Gunvolt's Azure Striker to be powered.... she has infinite stamina.Copen, is unique, he has been shown to be tired when fighting- likely due to battle damage- however, he also utilizes the same electricity as Lola- and has been active for over a century. So while I think he can experience some kind of mental fatigue, especially considering he is a cyborg in iX1, I believe that Infinite stamina is applicable here, with exceptions being taking damage and such- especially when he is considered a fully fledged machine in iX2, where even the Grave Pillar doesn't recognize him as human anymore.
Blade
Our profile says the followingWhile it is true that Missions in LAiX1 don't take place immediately after one another, there is no evidence to say that Blade actually did any of this beyond showing up for her final fight with Copen at the end of the game alrady in Berserk Trigger. Honestly, not very good proof, she can easily enter Berserk Trigger right away after long break and come in to the fight fresh- she could have easily have come back to her base and waiting until Copen showed up again..Searched for Copen throughout the entire second half of the game (Which likely took place over multiple days judging by conversations), presumably without rest, while in Berserk Trigger
It would be much better to say that she scales to Gunvolt in ASG1.
Copen in ASG1
Magneate Leon is supposed to increase his stats not decrease, and a fight can get anyone very tired by the end of it for a normal human, Copen fought at least two fights- which, is actually a lot for a human if you've seen a boxing or MMA match. Placing burden on human bodies doesn't mean much when said person can take it
Range
Dragonvolt Range is planetary with Vanishing World, for further proof, Gunvolt's directly sees the future due to Astral Order- revealing that he destroyed the world. It's reasonable to believe that Vanishing World can at least reach that far.Intelligence
Gunvolt is a genius / prodigy - and by our own rules, if the verse calls the guy someone with exceptional intalligence- they are of this ratingKeys
While there are obvious things like a lot of the profiles that should be affected by Parts 1, 2, and 3 (such as Asimov still not having his 7-A key and Nova still not having his GV3 Key) by now still haven't, so just be aware that I may be slow but they are still being adjusted according to those Parts- I am a busy person, so these things take a long time.Gunvolt
In the interest of keeping things more condensed and keeping the bloat to a minimum- Gunvolt’s Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 & 2 keys should be condensed into one key. Of course, we can’t just condense keys for the sake of reducing the profile’s bulk. So, here’s a compilation of reasons why this is possible
The same sentiment applies to Copen from the iX Timeline. While its undeniable that he becomes far stronger, going from 7-A to High 6-A in his base form- he doesn't really get any scaling above his iX1 scaling when we see him in iX2 besides a vague mention of how his new cybernetics are stronger than before.
This would constitute something like iX | End of iX / iX2, the issue is that iX1 and iX2 have completely different powersets. Even so, I doubt this is good justification to make an entirely seperate key for the very very end of iX1. So, I propose we do something similar to Garou from One Punch Man, who can condense different AP ratings with a "via Reactive Evolution", and so does Lavos with "will eventually become"- I see no problem in a 7-A, eventually High 6-A | High 6-A for "iX1 | iX2".

Of course, we can’t just condense keys for the sake of reducing the profile’s bulk. So, here’s a compilation of reasons why this is possible
- Adepts are shown to fluctuate in power depending on their current emotions. And Gunvolt’s emotions between ASG1 and ASG2 consist of being completely worn out, leaving him in a near broken state- "wounded in the heart". (GV2 Booklet, Translation Here)
- Gunvolt in ASG2 is stated to become much stronger in the official GV2 Website- but only because the Muse is infused within him, something that amplifies his power with a temporary Anthem state.
- シアンという能力者の魂を内に宿しており、彼女とシンクロすることによって自身の能力を極限にまで高めることが可能。
- TRANS: "He has the soul of a person named Cyan inside him, and by synchronizing with her, he can enhance his own abilities to the utmost limit."
- In addition to this, if he really was passively like this because of this synchronization, the Anthem transformation that appears within Gunvolt 2 should not have given him any benefits at all, because the enhancement should already be in play beforehand with his abilities at his utmost limit- yet, it does
- The Eden bosses are superior to the Sumeragi bosses, however, it doesn’t necessarily mean Gunvolt got any stronger or weaker, he may simply be strong enough to take on both kinds of bosses, being above both in power.
- Some can argue that the Eden bosses use a ninth of the Muse Shards, and a significant boost should be reflected in a new key, but we never really see just how much of the Muse Shard’s power was used for each Eden boss. Only Zonda has actually studied and fully normalized the power of the shards AFTER she saw her comerades use said shards first (JP)- which Gunvolt needed an emotional boost to compete with. (GV2)
- Gunvolt is rusty by ASG2, meaning that he is more than likely stronger back in ASG1- in JP he even says he hasn't fought Sumeragi in awhile and hasn't been on a mission in awhile.
The same sentiment applies to Copen from the iX Timeline.
