Subject: Nanatsu no Taizai / 4Koa Cosmology Revision - Tier Low 2-C for Chaos and Arthur Pendragon

Introduction
The purpose of this thread is to systematically clarify the power scaling for Chaos and Arthur Pendragon. Based on new data from the Four Knights of the Apocalypse and a deep analysis of the original series' cosmology, it has become evident that Chaos qualifies for Tier Low 2-C (Universe level+).

1. Confirmation of Multiple Independent Dimensions According to official statements in scan IMG_4360, the Demon Realm, the Fairy Realm, and the newly established Camelot are explicitly defined as "other dimensions" relative to the Human World. These are not merely different planets or geographical locations but are spatially independent worlds.

2. Proof of 4D Spacetime Continuum A primary requirement for Tier 2 is the existence of 4D spacetime. Regarding Purgatory, it is described as a realm with warped spacetime where time flows differently, specifically one minute equaling one year as shown in scans IMG_4331 and IMG_4332. Furthermore, scan IMG_4330 confirms it is an infinite world. Regarding Camelot, Arthur utilized the power of Chaos to create a dimension where fundamental biological and physical laws, such as aging and suffering, are either altered or entirely non-existent as evidenced in scan IMG_4360.

3. Chaos as the Universal Creator Ex Nihilo Chaos is identified as the mother of all things that brought forth the entire world and all existing races from absolute nothingness according to scan IMG_4337 . Regarding simultaneous creation, there is no evidence suggesting these realms were created sequentially over billions of years. Merlin’s statement implies a singular origin for "this world," referring to the entire complex cosmology, from the void. Regarding the source of power, even though the Supreme Deity and the Demon King created their respective realms, they themselves were birthed by Chaos as seen in scan IMG_4337. This means their creative power is merely a subset of the primordial will of Chaos.

4. Conclusion and Tiering The rank of Low 2-C is confirmed by the creation and existence of Purgatory as a 4D continuum. However, the rank of Low 2-C is justified because Chaos and Arthur, acting as its vessel, created and maintained a structure consisting of several independent 4D dimensions simultaneously from nothingness as supported by scans IMG_4360 and IMG4337.

Summary of Feats Chaos has demonstrated the creation of multiple independent spacetimes from a void. It possesses the ability to manipulate fundamental concepts such as time, life, and death within these dimensions. Finally, it holds absolute transcendence over the gods who were responsible for creating individual realms

Your arguments are pretty weak, but regarding Purgatory, I’ve been thinking about something for a while, although I still don’t have anything solid enough for a CRT.

Purgatory wasn’t created by Chaos; in fact, he was born there. I know this sounds crazy. When the Lady of the Lake says that Chaos “was born among the stars,” she isn’t referring to the universe where the series takes place, but to Purgatory. There are a few things that make me think this, such as Cath — a being born from Chaos’s destructive impulse — being a creature of Purgatory, and Hawk, who is also a creature of Chaos, having been born in Purgatory. This fits with Purgatory being called the “land of Chaos,” since he would have been born there.

So when the Lady of the Lake says that he created the world, she’s talking about the universe where the story happens, not just the planet. That’s not too far‑fetched, considering he created an infinite dimension just to store his power. Still, this alone isn’t enough to support anything yet. But if Nakaba were to state explicitly that Chaos is a creature of Purgatory, then I think we’d have enough to attempt something.

Chaos’s sons being born in purgatory is a decent argument about him creating the dimension.
Purgatory is monitoring the flow of souls sending the bad ones there.
Before Chaos there was no souls as he created life.

Still the 2-C argument presented in the OP is bad.

Using Cath’s theoretical destruction of realms is a better way to get Low Multiversal results.

The only dimensions I'm seeing here that clearly qualify as Low 2-C are Purgatory and the main universe. Logically if it has a separate space-time continuum from outside then outside has one too.

This issue about being unsure if Chaos created Purgatory does raise some major concerns though.

The Lake dimension is an infinite separate dimension that holds it’s own time axis.

(It was created by Chaos as a storage of energy)

Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate that you recognize both Purgatory and the Main Universe as separate space-time continuums (Low 2-C structures).

Regarding the doubt about Chaos creating Purgatory: Since Chaos birthed the entire 'world' (Kono Sekai) from nothingness, it is highly probable that Purgatory is part of that original act of creation. However, I understand the need for more explicit statements to reach Tier 2-C.

Therefore, I agree to settle for Low 2-C for now, as it is firmly supported by the evidence we both discussed. We can revisit the 2-C upgrade once more chapters from '4Koa' clarify the exact relationship between Chaos and the origin of Purgatory

If Chaos created both Purgatory and the normal universe, at the same time, that'd be 2-C. The problem is we need to see scans that prove Chaos made one or both of them.

I understand. At this moment, providing undeniable proof that Chaos created both realms simultaneously is difficult. I am satisfied with Low 2-C for now, as the evidence for creating/sustaining a 4D space-time continuum is solid. Let's proceed with the update to Low 2-C. I will revisit the 2-C argument in the future if more explicit evidence appears in the manga.

I admit that my current arguments for 2-C are not strong enough yet to meet the strict requirements for simultaneous creation of multiple continuums. Because of this, I prefer to focus on the solid evidence we have for Low 2-C. It's a more accurate ranking for the characters based on the current data.

We need scans to prove Chaos created Purgatory as well.
You are right. At the moment, there are no explicit scans that directly state Chaos created Purgatory in the same way it created the 'World'. While there are logical connections, they are not solid enough for a 2-C rating yet. Therefore, I would like to finalize the upgrade at Low 2-C, which is clearly supported by the current evidence. Thank you for being fair and helping me with this

He's using AI to argue his point 😭
Why are you acting like that? Are you trying to mock me? I am using AI because I am a Russian speaker and I need AI to accurately translate my thoughts into English so we can have a proper discussion! 😑😑😑

If Chaos created both Purgatory and the normal universe, at the same time, that'd be 2-C. The problem is we need to see scans that prove Chaos made one or both of them.
We have no proof of that. The closest thing we have to Low 2-C is the infinite dimension he created to store part of his power, But time passing faster isn't enough to constitute another Time-Space

Actually, creating an infinite dimension that functions as a separate space-time continuum is the literal definition of Low 2-C according to the Tiering System. If Chaos created a realm to store his power and that realm has its own time and space separate from the main universe, it qualifies as a 4-D structure. It's not just 'a different time stream', it's an entire 4-D construct created from nothing. This is more than enough for Low 2-C The Moderator and I are already finalizing the consensus, so please stop interfering with the process if you have nothing substantial to add

We need scans to prove Chaos created Purgatory as well.

  1. Chaos is stated to be the creator of all life and all races from absolute nothingness (Ex Nihilo).
  2. Purgatory exists specifically to manage the flow of souls and those who perish. Since souls did not exist before Chaos created life, Purgatory as a functional dimension must have been part of Chaos's original design of the 'World'.
  3. Since Chaos birthed the Gods who manage their own dimensions, it is the fundamental source of the entire cosmology, including the deep-space dimensions like Purgatory.
Even if it's not explicitly stated in one sentence, the logical necessity of Purgatory's existence only starts with Chaos's creation

A separate cosmic sized dimension where time passes faster is typically considered to be enough evidence of a space-time continuum. Some argue dilation, but that usually applies to small spaces like a single room, not a separate dimension of a significant size.

This is going to need knowledgeable members to look it over, and it needs scans.

We're going over it, but I wouldn't call it finalizing, and you need two or three staff votes to apply a thread like this.

@Estarossa0z ? Maybe he knows. He knows a lot, and he definitely knows much more than I do.

Low end: Large star level or 3.7 * 10^ 42 joules of energy. This is because Chaos created planet Earth from nothing with a lowballed time frame of 0.145.

This timeframe is due to the fact that Meliodas and Zeldris were able to say 69 words a second( in reference to when Merlin teleported Meliodas to the 10 commandments on the manga panel they say 69 words in the span of one second).

Take into account they were only talking casually. I got chat gbt to calculate how much faster your brain process to be in order to do that. This is because we know that your brain tells your body what to do. So the words have to be in your brain before you say them. Which is 6.9x faster therefore 0.145 seconds.

This is relevant to Chaos because it created the word with a single intention or thought from nothingness. That’s how I got the time frame.

We also know Meliodas gets thousands of times faster than stronger after his post power restored self. And Chaos is way above True Magic Meliodas.

So this is a very heavy lowball and the lowest interpretation.

Now onto the higher and better scaling.

High universal: So not only did Chaos create the earth but he also created the lady of the lake which is stated verbatim to store infinite magic. And again this was just with an intention.

But we’re not even close to being finished yet.

Uni +: We also know based on this Meliodas statement Arthur who fused with chaos subconsciously was able to create and destroy a world. But in this context it’s more likely referring to a universe/spacetime due to the fact that the kanji used( Sekai) which means planet, society or universe. But with further context we know and see that Arthur with Chaos’ power is changing the laws of the universe such as gravity. Like how Gowther can stand on a wall vertically, and the other sins can stand upside down. If if was simply a planet he was recreating they would be floating in space. And if it was just a society they would be on the planet. But neither of these are the case meaning it’s more than likely that that sekai in this context means universal.

Meliodas himself with his true magic can’t stay in the mortal realm or mortal plane. The demon king and supreme deity are referring to the dimension itself not just Britannia but the dimension it’s in. In the manga and anime the statement is the same he specifically says “mortal plane” instead of only the land of Britainia. And in the cursed by light movie which is canon the supreme deity refers to it as the mortal plane as well they are talking about dimensions.

Due to how strong he is he’s passively destroying it with his presence and it won’t even take a day.

So True magic Meliodas is so powerful that the universe can’t handle his presence. And if you wanna downplay and say it’s only Britania that would still include the infinite lake of magic. So Meliodas is still high Uni. But in reality he’s uni + because he was going to destroy the entire dimension or space time. And again this was his presence in base without powering up. He unlocked it yes but he didn’t have to transform to do that.

How do I explain this and make sense? The Demon Realm can contain his power while the mortal realm can’t. Hence why he was going to stay in the demon realm. I’ll bring this up later.

We eventually learn that Chaos beat Cath in a fight and Cath is the incarnation of desire and obsession of power born from Chaos. We also learn that he’s unkillable due to him “transcending life and death itself”. And Chaos casually defeats this being.

Low multiversal: It was stated by Cath that with the power of Chaos he could destroy all of existence he would literally eat everything. This would include the mortal realm, demon realm, purgatory, goddess realm, and fairy realm. 6 seperate space times. I’ll touch more on this later.

We also know that the fodder vampire king Izraf can warp space around him to the point Merlin could not teleport. And he’s a season 1 Meliodas victim. He can affect space and time.

Chaos also more than likely created the afterlife because why would there be an afterlife for souls that don’t exist? Nor would Chaos create living things to go to the afterlife. Nor would there be a a dimensional gateway directly on the planet to go to the afterlife.

We also know that magic can be used by souls, emotions, and or concicouness.

Meliodas’ emotions use it in purgatory. We also see the demon king’s consciousness use magic in Meliodas/Zeldris bodies.

Guila can use magic in the afterlife after putting her body in a state near death so her soul can go to the afterlife to fight the sins.

We see the sins use magic on her and affect her soul.

Chaos power is so far above the sins and the cosmology. It created the magic system and how magic works in the verse.

It will have no problem destroying every dimension. Including purgatory( which it also created) which is described as infinite and a space time. It’s stated to be separate from the other dimensions. The mortal realm, celestial realm, demon realm, or the fiary realm.

Confirming that the dimensions listed are separate from each other. Why list all of them if they all exist in one dimension? This is consistent with the fact that all these realms require dimensional portals to get there.

The Afterlife is also infinite because it has the souls from every race from every dimension.

We also find out later that there are even more dimensions. So the afterlife being that big makes sense.

The demon realm itself is stated to be eternal so infinite. The goddess realm would logically also be infinite due to the two gods being equal in power.

They are dimensions that have day and night cycles and are called worlds. They should at least be universes in size. We see a bunch of stars in the demon realm and stars in the goddess realm( for Mael’s grace).

Chaos created all of the gods( fairy tree, demon king, supreme deity) with a thought. And made them powerful enough to create their own dimensions like how we see Cath create a dimension instantly.

And his Arthur destroyed it instantly with no difficulty. So Chaos is Multiversal.

Consistent with Arthur who created the new Camelot which contains multiple universes in it. Where the normal rules of logic in the mortal plane become irrelevant.

It was also stated by the author in a Q&A that some places in Camelot have starry skies, have endless night, and some with endless day. Some dimensions within Camelot are stated to be worlds which in this context knowing it isn’t just a planet and you need spatial portals to get there meaning they are separate from each other.

Meaning they are more than likely universes than mere planets.

Also note that Arthur created all this after the Cath fight. Which took at max a day.

Since Ironside’s baby was exposed to the Miasma from the demon king. The mother of the baby died that day.Arthur introduced Ironside to Camelot that day. So Arthur created it in a very short time frame.

Also note that the supreme deity tells Meliodas to “begone from this plane” referring to the mortal realm.

Further confirming that these dimensions are seperate planes of existence. Since they can only be accessed by hopping outside of reality or you can use dimensional gates.

Given all this information Chaos itself is casually Multiversal in ap and dc.

Now onto the many many many hax and powers Of Chaos.

Chaos has abstract concept manipulation; it can manipulate beauty, ugliness, love and hate, bravery and cowardness, kindness and cruelty, etc. Pretty much everything humans can represent and emotions they can show. Chaos manipulated all of this with an intention.

Chaos obviously has chaos manipulation like chaos magic this was stated by Merlin when Arthur fused with Chaos. When they refer to Chaos itself they use uppercase C when referring to chaos in general they use lowercase c.

Based on descriptions on what it can do it fits how Chaos’ power can be used.

It also has abstract existence type 1 this is because Chaos is a contradiction lacking physical form and a will of power. It is stated to have no substance so it’s literal and not metaphorical. It can be multiple things at once like pure light and impure darkness. It is also stated to be a mindless will that’s not mindless. This fits the definition for type 3 transduality because it does again logic for this type of being to exist.

It also has reality warping or manipulation based on its intentions and we see that’s how the host of chaos attacks the person. Arthur can destroy and create dimensions, and warp things into existence.

Chaos created and is above Cath who transcends life and death itself which is a form of transduality.

Cath with a portion of Chaos’ power can see uncertain futures and can put your soul into those futures.

Chaos can create abilities( power bestowal) like how he gave every living thing he created their own unique powers( the gods who did the same thing for the races they created).

So logically Chaos would have access to every power in the verse as well. An example would be the ruler from the demon king; he literally created the demon king. So he would have a similar ability to the ruler which turns all magic used against the user into healing. And the supreme deity who is immune to physical attacks.

Chaos would be the combination of these both immune to physical and magical attacks in the verse at the very least.

it created the magic system so it would have access to all 9 confirmed types of magic. I’ll specifically mention the empathy type, oracle type, and bewitcher type. These three types would allow Chaos to see possible futures, manipulate someone’s role, memories, and heart. What Arthur did to Galand and Melascula, it can create physical illusions which are both real and fake as shown with Jade. And it can create them by using your own memories of the person making them immortal.

Chaos also has biology manipulation it can create monsters and races. It turned King’s adoptive human child into a fairy giant hybrid.

It also has transmutation pretty casually Arthur turns a stone into a bird subconsciously.

Chaos can also make magic turn again the user.

Chaos is also stated to be able to create infinite possibilities that didn’t exist prior.

It also has soul, life, and personality manipulation( it created souls In the verse and massively upscales the demons who can casually manipulate souls with chants; chaos instilled into every living thing it created with personality).

It also has existence erasure since high level goddesses can erase the mind, body, and soul with their arks according to an interview with the author. And chaos is massively above a high level goddesses.
won’t read allat especially when 95% of these informations are bs

Hello everyone,

I would like to propose an upgrade for Chaos based on new information regarding the cosmology of the franchise revealed in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.

The Evidence: The Book of Stars

New lore from the game describes an artifact known as the "Book of stars" (linked to a mysterious pendant found beneath Lake Pernes). The official description states:

"The power within the 『Book of Stars』, which records and connects countless timelines, holds limitless potential. Yet the secret behind its origin may be deeply entangled with a great chaos."

Cosmology & Tiering Argument

Multiversal Scale (Tier 2-B/2-A): The existence of "countless timelines" that are interconnected by a single structure (The Book of Stars) establishes a Multiversal cosmology for the series. Since Chaos is the confirmed origin of all things and is "deeply entangled" with the source of these timelines, its scale should reflect this.Conceptual Seniority: Chaos existed within a "empty nothingness devoid of all concepts" before creating the world, matter, and laws. It created the very concepts of space and dimensions, granting it qualitative superiority over them.Acausality & Reality Warping: As the source of a book that "records" all developmental lines (timelines), Chaos sits outside the traditional flow of cause and effect.

Addressing Canonicity

For those questioning the validity of game material, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is confirmed to be part of the official lore expansion:

Direct Supervision: The creator, Nakaba Suzuki, personally reviewed the main storyline.Character Integration: Characters created for the game, such as Tioreh and Dredrin, have already appeared in the sequel manga, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, proving the game's setting is integrated into the official series.Official Statement Developers stated that the game features an original story based on the world of the original series with direct input from Suzuki.

Given that Chaos is the progenitor of a cosmology containing countless timelines, I propose an upgrade to at least Tier 2-B, with potential for Tier 2-A , considering it created the very concepts of dimensions from nothingness.

The issue is still how long it takes, and whether the countless timelines are a cosmology outside of Chaos' influence. Countless timelines is still a big deal of course.

Proof of Direct Influence: The "Book of Stars" (which records and connects the countless timelines) is explicitly stated to be "deeply entangled with a Great Chaos". This confirms the cosmology is not external but directly tied to Chaos's power.Proof of Instantaneous Action: The text states Chaos creates and manipulates reality "by mere intent" (par l'intention seule). This resolves the "how long it takes" issue — it is instantaneous.Proof of Scale (5D/Qualitative Superiority): * A standard "Timespace Junction" is described as a "speck of dust" compared to the overall system.
Chaos is confirmed to have "created the very concepts of dimensions", giving it "qualitative superiority"over the concept of dimensionality itself.Proof of Canonicity: The developer Q&A confirms Nakaba Suzuki personally supervised the story and integrated Origin's characters into the official Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga.

Since Chaos is the progenitor of the concepts that define the multiversal structure (Book of Stars), and since he operates by mere intent, he should scale to at least Tier 2-B, with a very strong case for Tier 1-С based on the "Qualitative Superiority over the concept of dimensions" scan.

address the claim that 'the game is not canon to the main series timeline':
Author's Involvement: The story of SDS: Origin was directly supervised and checked by Nakaba Suzuki. Characters created for this game (like Tioreh and Dredrin) have already debuted in the official sequel manga, Four Knights of the Apocalypse. This confirms the game's lore is an official expansion of the franchise's cosmology.Multiversal Nature: Even if the game is a different timeline, this actually supports the upgrade. The 'Book of Stars' confirms that the cosmology consists of countless timelines. Whether a story happens in Timeline A or Timeline B is irrelevant when we are scaling Chaos, who is the progenitor of the entire system that contains ALL these timelines.Consistent Cosmology: The concepts of Chaos creating dimensionality from nothingness are fundamental to the franchise's lore, not just a game mechanic. Rejecting this would be ignoring the author's own expansion of his universe."

Calling this Tiktok scaling is just an escape. I'm providing official developer Q&A scans personally reviewed by Nakaba Suzuki and direct evidence of the Book of Stars containing countless timelines. If you can't debunk the creation of dimensional concepts, your labels mean nothing. hah lol 😂

Only Tiroeh has debuted in the manga. None of this is ever referenced at all in the manga. It’s an in game only stuff.

We don’t care about developer Q&A scans Grand Cross too is partially supervised by Nakaba and is still non canon.

Besides that « countless timelines » in itself isn’t ground for 2-B or 2-A as it is most likely an hyperbole.

When Cath put Arthur and the sins in another timeline we have confirmation about them existing in each timeline which annihilates your argument about Chaos creating all these timelines.

Everyone let's just chill out
it was just a joke but mb ig I just think 7DS already has a bad image on here and just straight up wanking things the tiktok style isn’t a good idea.

Actually, that’s incorrect. Here is why
Direct Character Link You admit Tioreh debuted in the manga, but the official Q&A explicitly groups Tioreh and Dredrin together as characters created by Nakaba Suzuki for Origin who demonstrate the potential to expand into the official series. If one is canon, the source they both come from is validated.Author's Supervision: The scan explicitly states that Nakaba Suzuki personally reviewed the main storyline of Origin. On VSBW, if the original author supervises and writes the lore for a game, that lore is considered an official expansion of the world's cosmology, even if it hasn't been 'named' in the manga yet.The Nature of a Multiverse The reason these things aren't 'referenced' in the main manga is explained by the lore itself: the manga world is just a 'speck of dust'. A character living inside a single timeline wouldn't necessarily know about the 'Book of Stars' that contains the entire system.Official Intent The developers explicitly state they hope to see how Origin’s story connects to the original series as it unfolds. This isn't a spin-off; it's a planned expansion of the universe's scale

We should treat the game's information as a separate key or profile (Origin Timeline), similar to how other franchises handle supervised alternative realities.
The argument that 'it's just a game' doesn't hold up here
Direct Author Involvement Nakaba Suzuki didn't just give a license; he personally reviewed the storyline.Canonical BridgeCharacters like Tioreh, created for this game, have already officially appeared in the Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga.Cosmology Expansion The 'Book of Stars' and the description of the world as a 'speck of dust' provide a deeper look into the nature of Chaos that the main manga simply hasn't reached yet.Even if this is an alternative timeline, it is an officially supervised one, and the cosmology (The Multiverse/1-С structure) remains constant because Chaos is the source of all these timelines.

Direct Character Link You admit Tioreh debuted in the manga,
Just like multiple Grand cross bosses did too (despite the game being non canon)

« Potential »

Just like GC which is non canon
On VSBW, if the original author supervises and writes the lore for a game, that lore is considered an official expansion of the world's cosmology, even if it hasn't been 'named' in the manga yet.
It would at best be tertiary canon and invalidated due to the book of stars making 0 appearances in the main canon
The Nature of a Multiverse The reason these things aren't 'referenced' in the main manga is explained by the lore itself: the manga world is just a 'speck of dust'.
« Planned »
We should treat the game's information as a separate key or profile (Origin Timeline), similar to how other franchises handle supervised alternative realities.
That’s what we do for GC
The argument that 'it's just a game' doesn't hold up here
Direct Author Involvement Nakaba Suzuki didn't just give a license; he personally reviewed the storyline.Canonical BridgeCharacters like Tioreh, created for this game, have already officially appeared in the Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga.
Making it a possible partial canon not an absolute source
Cosmology Expansion The 'Book of Stars' and the description of the world as a 'speck of dust' provide a deeper look into the nature of Chaos that the main manga simply hasn't reached yet.Even if this is an alternative timeline, it is an officially supervised one, and the cosmology (The Multiverse/1-С structure) remains constant because Chaos is the source of all these timelines.
It’s not 1-C and Chaos isn’t the source of all these timelines as I explained in previous messages.

Just like multiple Grand cross bosses did too (despite the game being non canon)

Just like GC which is non canon

It would at best be tertiary canon and invalidated due to the book of stars making 0 appearances in the main canon

It’s not a possibly Chaos did not create every timeline.

What could be 2-C is Cath saying it could destroy all forms with the complete power of Chaos.

For now, the game scans remain as supporting context. If the game eventually proves or explicitly shows that Chaos governs these countless timelines, then we can firmly place him at 2-B or 2-A. A 1-C rating is still debatable at this stage, so we should wait for the game's full release to be certain. Based on my previous scans, however, it's reasonable to assign 2-C to Chaos for the canonical timeline events for the time being. 😀
