Dante vs Kratos (Low 1-C edition)

Probability Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation & Death Manipulation: (Dante is unable to be cursed by the Poker Demon's ability, which gives incredible luck in probability-based games, however, they become engrained with greed and a sick sense of wanting to play more and more. This effect goes as far as changing reality. When the main user of this effect loses in a game of chance, they instantly die without a seemingly physical cause, this also happens to the ones the main user is playing against if they happen to lose. Dante can stop Patty whom got possessed when they were playing a game of "who dies first". Dante is also able to let himself be shot and lose the game in purpose, letting himself win. When Dante loses to Lady, he doesn't outright die, he just pretends he's dead.)

Yeah the layers on Dante's side is ridiculous. It would be better if we just discuss hand-to-hand combat here lol.

Well as for now, DMC doesn't have resistance negation nor do they resist it. Kratos resists it and has it, and since it's the valhalla key kratos would absorb demonic energy, grant himself enhanced resistance to dante's hax and then neg dante's resistance to demonic energy while using dante's own demonic energy against him. The issue is it would require physical touch with the draupnir, it's not thought based.
 
The issue is that even if Dante doesn't resist resistance neg here(which by all means he should), what can Kratos do against the tons of passive hax with 45+ layers that he doesn't resist?
 
I'd rather want to know the nitty gritty mechanisms and quality of their haxes than looking at layers to know which would win

Well, fair

I said Dante should still have resistance negation resistance since Berly Anti Tank rifle was able to remove BH resistance to energy absorption who alowed Dante to be immume to a gel that completely absorbed his powers

And Dante fough that Monkey demon in vol 1 which his own poisons blood disolved his own body there and Dante was unfazed by it

Pretty sure it is not anymore. Agnaa already made a revision regarding layers and potency being analyzed, case by case, rather than by numbers
And layers will be worked on later by properly separating them from resistance breaking via potency and layers being different but not superior

The current proposed changes are
Layering should not be applied when an ability overpowers a resistance through magnitude or a quantitative threshold. Overcoming heat resistance by using hotter fire is not an example of layered fire manipulation, neither is overpowering mind resistance by focusing psionic energy from a larger number of targets down to an individual; as those are increases in magnitude. These will still be treated as an increase in potency, though.

And hax pages literally state this
As mentioned in Note 2 above, layers are just one way to prove exceptional potency of an ability and could be overcome by abilities that have shown potency by other means. In reverse, an ability with many layers could also be potent enough to overcome a resistance that worked against a hax that is exceptionally potent in other ways. How exactly different showings of potency compare is highly case-by-case and in general might be inconclusive.

I know it might endup being equal or inconclusive with how massive both franchise is with their feats for such hax
but its a good start to know who wins outside incon

Also what the empathic hax do exactly? Because some supporters argue Kratos would lose to Dante's passives.

Ehhh, with how the SBA worded I would assume it's something that he would use, he has used fear hax on fodder demons in Vol. 1 and against Chen in Vol. 2(tho it didn't work on him), someone he has no personal beef with, so it's not really out of character for him in this situation imo
