But does the world actually change when names are manipulated?
Vergil did this seven times by renaming the Sins, so was there any change in the value of existence after that?

Before I go to work in a few minutes I'm happy to inform you that yes, names do change the value of literally everything given the scan literally tells you that they do. We have 0 reason to level skepticism towards it when we see a demon speaking of the nature of demon names and they themselves would know how names work better than anyone else.

I mean, we literally seen in the novels how the different elements were reacting around Dante when he was changing his name from "Tony" to "Dante".

Okay, but so it's just that the names have reality warping or concept manipulation abilities, not that they are type 1 or 2 concepts.
Names can only affect the Human World, they are not the concepts of every aspect of this world (or even the demon world).

The changes aren’t always visibly manifested but change still occurs whenever a Name is altered — the scans right there are as blatant as it can go. Reality warping alone does not account for this because the alteration affects identity, value and structure regardless of whether a physical change is observed. The examples we provided are merely visible confirmations that Names operate within reality. The key point is that Names govern reality to a certain extent while not being bound by it. Reality conforms to Names, not the other way around which is the criteria for type 1.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that Names are concepts, just that they have concept manipulation.
You treat the Names as if they were Platonic Ideas when there is not even evidence that they are the concepts of aspects of the Human World.

Names were clearly stated to represent one’s power and the meaning of their existence while the claim that the world itself can change and that the value of everything can be altered implies something deeper than mere concept manipulation. It's not just influence over one’s existence but a form of authority over the world itself.
Even if you don’t accept that as proof of platonic style concepts then that’s fair and I respect that. But taken at face value, these statements go beyond the manipulation of isolated concepts rather than being the result of unnecessary interpretations on my part.
That being said, I don’t feel like continuing this debate here anymore so let’s agree to disagree and move on to other important stuff that needs to be dealt with as of now.

Yes, renaming the Netflix show "Mary Will Curse" and a petition to make three more DMC games revolving around Sparda's backstory, Vergil's descent into evil and the three female devil hunters taking over the business post DMC5, respectively.
And then a DMC6 which goes insane with multiple playable characters and huge stakes involving multiverses and enemies that truly challenge what we think we know. The final villain to a good series, especially one about family, should be about going back to the start and discovering a truth which overturns what we thought we knew.
Seriously though, yeah there's some cosmology stuff at very least.

I hope the next game introduces a new playable protagonist who will be the child of Nero and Kyrie or a new child of Sparda because I find it hard to believe that the guy hasn't had any other relationships in 2000 years of existence in the Human World (I would like to see a hidden sister of Dante and Vergil).

Vergil and Dante both have growth in front of them. Vergil needs to come to terms with his son and himself. He's starting with the easiest part: his brother Dante. As for Dante, he needs to move past his fear of loss and build some new family. He likewise needs to start with his brother Vergil, but he should look further later.

Honestly, it seems like it's not based on potency at all, and the twins don't even have RE, but supernatural willpower at a very high degree.
The 45+ layers claim seems like bullshit; the only layers I think the twins have are for regeneration and regeneration negation.
All the other feats in the blog are just supernatural willpower that allows them to overcome hax.

Whatever buddy. But just gonna say, Willpower/Love/Positive Emotions/Humanity are core themes of series, with feats in every game for it. The power system runs on it. So you are really not having a gotcha moment you think you are.

I don't see how that contradicts what I'm saying.
Potency/raw power and hax/hax resistance are linked to willpower, emotions, etc., but that doesn't mean more potency = more powerful hax/resistance; the two are unrelated (especially when there's explicit evidence to that).
