World Martial Arts (8-C) Tournament! (16/16) (Full)

I'm bored again and have zero impulse control. So, I'm hosting another tournament!!!! I know there's like 3-4 other active ones right now, but sush.

Welcome to the World Martial Arts (8-C) Tournament!​

Entry Rules:​

• Characters must be 8-C.
  • I'll consider characters if they're very close to being 8-C (E.G characters who are a little under 0.25 tons or a little over 2 tons)
• Characters must be able to fit in the arena.
• No Goofy hax that can instantly one-shot someone without resistances or prevents the character from losing with no workaround (E.G someone who can rewind time to not lose or someone who can't be K.O'ed or be knocked out of the ring)
• One character per person.

Vs thread Scenario:​

• All the official rules are in play.
  • If a character breaks the rules in battle, they will be "disqualified" in-universe, and their opponent will proceed.
  • Every double K.O/draw will use the sudden-death rule, regardless of whether it's the final round.
• Speed is equalized for all matches.
• Everything above 8-C is restricted.
• Competitors are informed that the winner will receive 10,000,000 Zeni (convertible to the currency of their choice), while 2nd and 3rd place will receive 5,000,000 and 2,000,000, respectively.
• Competitors will fight in character with the knowledge given (I.E a competitor that doesn't care about winning and the money, not fighting as hard as they would in a life or death scenario, or a competitor that would kill the opponent despite knowing the rules)
• Competitors will be asked to remove weaponry and protective equipment before the fight.
  • Characters can choose to ignore the request, but if they're seen with their equipment during the fight, they will be "disqualified."
• Fights take place in the Buu saga WMAT stage.

Tournament Thread Rules:​

• If a character gets no arguments for around 3-4 days, the opposing competitor will automatically go to the next round.
• If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied for 3-4 days, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
  • If a character I submitted is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.
• All competitors are given the option to view the previous matches as they happened in-universe.

Spoiler: Potential problems with Marcus before he makes it in

First and foremost, the guy is like, a skill god. We're talking solo army all firing guns and homing missiles and shit skill god. Ignore the rain feat on the profile, that's now bullshit skill, everything else is usable though.

And his lightning... it's a "**** you" to any 8-C who doesn't resist it. It's a very late game option, but it does come out.

For the record I have like 6 more CoH 8-Cs lined up if Statesman is too much.

Yeah Marcus has been K.O'd before, but ringing him out is basically impossible because he can fly.

I thought the 8-B chains would disqualify her. Tho maybe u didn't see that? Tho I dunno if that's as much of an issue, since against humans on earth (outside of her domain) she seems to show more restraint. So she'd prolly go for restraining and not gutting people. That said, on top of the chain attack speed danmaku, she can also summon chains around people (for restraint, not to attack)... make of that wut u will

he can amplify his speed with them but other than that yeah they don't really do anything super crazy, they just serve as basic prosthetics and he uses them in his primarily kicking fighting style. if that's fine, then i'll enter him in

I totally didn't just forget her chains were 8-B, 100%. Technically, her chains would be restricted due to being over 8-C. Without them, she's fine, but I'm guessing your prob not gonna want to use her without her main Power.

To be honest, I think there should be good for what I see. It’s not that bad either.(I didn’t even know he was top seven.) and this is his 8-C with his main weapon going to be remove for matches he’s gonna have to rely on his h2h/wrestling skills.

Worth noting but Wolf scales to 1.6 billion joules or about 0.38 tons if you need to update his AP

Regarding Travis, his main semi-hax thing is that if he dodges he gets a speed amp (mechanically like Witch Time from Bayonetta if you've played that) that gets him a free blitz. Without the sword it's not downright match-winning though, he'll just suplex you and do a bunch of damage, you can think of it as an enhanced counter of sorts. there's fear hax and stat amps but it's not really clear how those work so for the context of a tournament they might just not matter. If you'd rather not deal with that Jeane may work as a replacement, she stomps him in H2H so verse-wise she's superior but she lacks most of his P&A. Also obv depends on whether Soda's okay with it.

As for my own suggestion, I don't expect him to go super far but I'll nominate Shiva from Streets of Rage. 0.306 tons, no super great skill feats but very varied arsenal of both attacks and ki stuff.

Read the rules and realized that this is purely hand-to-hand which is fine although Wolf would need to unequip his prosthetic weapons in advance. Senpou Arts will be doing most of the heavy lifting here.
