Can Echolocation "cap" the speed of a character

Quick question, from what I know about echolocation and characters that use this in fiction, the irl equivalent of echolocation waits for sounds to reach them before understanding what is going on. Specifically blind people in fiction have echolocation. I am trying to figure out (as long as echolocation is their 'only' additional sense) if echolocation would technically cap a character's speed to that of "speed of sound".

It can cap them, but not necessarily. It's the same logic as vision logically not working at FTL speed. So usually echolocation will not be a speed cap.

Ig I'm trying to see the general consensus about the "speed" of "echolocation" on the site, but considering Daredevil is also hypersonic and above, I could probably ignore echolocaton being sound cap due to it being a fiction thing.
