Spoiler: Rules copied from OG Tourney thread

Vs thread Scenario:​

• All the official rules are in play.
  • If a character breaks the rules in battle, they will be "disqualified" in-universe, and their opponent will proceed.
  • Every double K.O/draw will use the sudden-death rule, regardless of whether it's the final round.
• Speed is equalized for all matches.
• Everything above 8-C is restricted.
• Competitors are informed that the winner will receive 10,000,000 Zeni (convertible to the currency of their choice), while 2nd and 3rd place will receive 5,000,000 and 2,000,000, respectively.
• Competitors will fight in character with the knowledge given (I.E a competitor that doesn't care about winning and the money, not fighting as hard as they would in a life or death scenario, or a competitor that would kill the opponent despite knowing the rules)
• Competitors will be asked to remove weaponry and protective equipment before the fight.
  • Characters can choose to ignore the request, but if they're seen with their equipment during the fight, they will be "disqualified."
• Fights take place in the Buu saga WMAT stage.

Tournament Thread Rules:​

• If a character gets no arguments for around 3-4 days, the opposing competitor will automatically go to the next round.
• If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied for 3-4 days, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
  • If a character I submitted is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.
• All competitors are given the option to view the previous matches as they happened in-universe.

well, I'm honestly very uncertain on who would win, since Master Monkey is a little bit stronger and agile, but Shiva has a lot more abilities, so I'll wait a bit.

Quick impression of how this might go, based on what I remember of the first three KFP movies (which I freely admit isn't the most in-depth knowledge so feel free to prove me wrong) is that Shiva does have the advantage. Skill may go to Monkey by a bit just because the verse has more out there displays but I don't think it's too far off and Shiva's own set of techniques, both martial and supernatural, is a lot more varied than Monkey's, with some of them being very powerful (like Invisibility and Duplication).

• Higher LS
• Better kit of techniques
• Certain special moves can turn the tide of battle*
• Better stamina showings
• Longer striking range

*Moves like Senretsu Ken and his Spirit Clones offer a brief but massive advantage against Monkey. If Monkey is hit with Shin Hashinshou he will float very slowly allowing Shiva to combo him very easily

Monkey

• Higher AP
• Maybe slightly more skilled?
• Probably more acrobatic
• Longer range with bo staff EDIT: NVM he doesn't have that

It's close in that neither fighter has massive advantages but I think Shiva wins this?

Yeah looks like Shiva's kit could get him a victory via ring-out. Monkey might be harder to ring out with his acrobatics, but seems like Shiva has the edge with his techniques and LS.

Well Monkey may upscale his AP since it was performed by a younger Tigress. But looks like it would be hard to avoid a ring-out for him if he gets hit by Shiva's combos.
