Mahoraga caught Gojo off guard. In both situations he had Mugen activated, so it didn't make sense for him to max out his durability. He could focus more on power and speed. And without cutting the world, Mahoraga can only manage to make a cut in the gojo's chest.

I'm not sure, but I'm just saying that 15F Yujikuna can overpower a Maho who can somewhat keep up with Gojo.

I think 5 finger comes from this Q&A. Wording implies that Jogo was match to 5F Sukuna, so Gege made so he consumed 10 fingers and dominated Jogo afterwards
