Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

I’m here to report an issue regarding threads being opened in the staff section. This is something that bothers me, as well as both supporters and opponents.

Threads are being opened in the staff section to prevent participation from both supporters and opponents. This is being exploited to push approvals and undermine other works—especially in cases like this one. The thread was opened by someone who isn’t even a fan of Instant Death, but rather a Tensura fan, and they are pushing for downgrades and removals within the staff section to block any opposing or supporting input. On top of that, the thread is likely to be approved quickly, leading to changes being implemented and effectively invalidating the efforts of supporters.

If this situation continues, I will leave this community, because this is pure abuse. This behavior largely comes from Tensura fans opening threads in the staff section, getting them approved early, and excluding all opposition. I didn’t want to report this before, but now that other works are being targeted—especially within the staff section—this is something I cannot ignore.
There are many supporters and opponents, and even members who may specialize in other series but still have relevant expertise. This should not be about granting permission; it effectively blocks people from expressing their views. Moreover, approvals in the staff section happen too quickly, which further reinforces this misuse.

I also request that threads about specific works be prohibited from being opened in the staff section by regular users. Additionally, this is a report against staff members who are granting approvals arbitrarily to open such threads in that section, thereby excluding opposition.

Isn’t this supposed to be a discussion community? What is the point if only staff members are allowed to discuss? This keeps happening repeatedly, and now that a work I care about is being targeted by someone from another fandom within the staff section, this is something I cannot accept at all.

I’m not sure what you mean. Hecky isn’t a Tensura supporter, as far as I know, and the thread you brought to RVR isn’t related to Tensura either as far as i can see. If the thread gets accepted, it means the reasoning was considered acceptable. It’s that simple. Also, just because it’s a staff thread doesn’t mean you can’t comment. Staff threads are often created to manage derailment, not to shut down opposing views. So just make one (or 3) clear, concise post that includes all the points you want staff to consider (with perms ofc), and then let them decide. And this applies to both sides.

As far as I've read, the only one having problems here is you. Anyone can ask for permission to make a staff thread, or post in a staff thread, so no one is stopping you, they are just asking you to be respectful, which you fail to be

From your report, I assume you have at least read the staff thread and its credit section, so is it safe to say you're reporting all of the people mention there?
On what basis do you claim that @Hecky2222, @Ruler_Star_Kuma, @Oblivion_Of_The_Endless and I are supporters of Tensura?
From what I recall from reading many discussions, Oblivion is an Instant Death supporter, and even a staff, so your accusations are completely unfounded. I don't know about Hecky2222 or Ruler_Star_Kuma greatly, but I'm also not a supporter of any verse at the moment.
The aim of staff threads, as I said above, is not to stop opposition but to make sure Opposition actually tries to do what they are supposed to do. It also prevents them from being rude as the staff giving them permission can take it back right away. On that note, I think your response in the staff thread was just plain rude and spreading misinformation about the other parties. Who gave you permission to make a post in that staff thread?

Your response gives me the feeling that you think staff threads are rare. But that is not the case at all. There are just so, so many staff threads on so many verses:

This is uncalled for. You have no basis to ban anyone, regular members and staff included, from making or granting permission for making a staff thread.
Also, I have read some of the threads you opened, and most of the times your tone and your behavior come off as completely rude to all other parties that oppose you, at least to me.This thread in its entirety is an example:

The staff are approving threads randomly. Now, within an hour or two, you will see 20 staff members approving the thread and it getting closed, without consulting any of the supporters—especially me—before the thread was opened. I am very busy these days and may not even be able to respond during this period.

No permission was taken from anyone, especially since the person is not even a fan of Instant Death in the first place.

Right now I am busy, and the work I spent months on will be downgraded and removed through these frustrating approvals in the staff section.

Not a report directed at me but still feels like I am semi responsible so I will say my piece and dip, leaving the staff to deal with this headache. Feel free to delete if it's deemed unnecessary.

Cite the respective supporters and opponents that are bothered by this aside from you, no deflection merely names. Since you are presumably reporting on behalf of them I assume you atleast know their names. It goes without saying you are more than welcome to divulge these names to higher ranking staff in private.

Incorrect, it's to prevent people from stonewalling the threads and preventing the same points from being discussed a hundred times over and instead allowing staff to come to a conclusion without having to sort through 5 pages of useless repetitive argumentation with no end in sight.

Other members like Kuma is one of the biggest MGK fans
He is not only a supporter but a knowledgeable member so calling anyone that opposes you a Tensura fan is really funny.

TLDR; Staff threads don't hinder participation or silence supporters/opponents it filters out useless comments that serve no purpose and since the participants have to get permission before commenting they get time to self reflect on their comment.

Staff report goes in HR, additionally this is a report against @Oblivion_Of_The_Endless I presume as such I would love to know the logic behind such report, UMR is one of the biggest Instant Death supporters and that's a fact so what you are trying to propose (UMR's intent) i.e exclusion of opposition doesn't match.

"Another Fandom" refers to who exactly ? Kuma has been here talking about Instant Death Long before you, same with UMR.
Again I really recommend toning it down and giving whatever you are typing out a read before commenting.
 
I feel like this is getting ridiculous, since Azerty is still doing the same thing he was reported and warned for before, so I request the staff to take a look at their "history" before making the final evaluation... He has been doing the same attitude since he started here...

Threads cannot be closed "within an hour or two". There's a grace period for this very reason. I'm not suggesting you should stalk the forums of VSBW, but threads cannot resolve in less than a day in any condition. You have at least a full day to respond to anything, or even just to make notice that a response is coming.

This thread is the RVRT, and it is not the place to discuss site policy, really. If you feel site policy itself is off, I would, ironically, invite you to create a staff thread on the subject, though I would also invite you to consider the subject more critically, since on at least a few points, I get the impression that you're not aware of the actual policy.

Moving on, to rule violations.

I will reiterate: the matter is not pertaining to rule violations, and so should not be handled here. It can be discussed on my wall if you would prefer, or a broader discussion can be made on the topic elsewhere. This thread is for rule violations. I have deleted the intermittent comments.

Also he made a comment when his account was minutes old, inorder for comments to appear in VSBW forums you need a 4-day old account. And I'm sure he couldn't have done so without a previous account.

I'm not saying he is directly, but he is likely to be someone's alt.

Then tell Berny to delete her comments because that's definitely unnecessary, @Yuuki_takimoto is a new user who doesn't know anything and thought it'd be best to ask about Metaphysical Aspects in the verse despite the thread itself focusing on the cosmology as a whole. Berny's comments that if Yuuki here doesn't understand how it works then apparently Yuuki shouldn't agree with the thread despite both of these being completely different stuff, c'mon that's a new user on the wiki like there's no reason to act like that. Love how @Hecky2222 made a RVT exactly 10 minutes after I stated that I'm gonna stop detailing the thread. Anyways the OP already answered @Yuuki_takimoto's question, but come on WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO GANK UP ON A NEW USER ON THE FORUM? No, it does not.

Nether you started to act toxic(Which you got response to it).

It is problem about you are derailing thread and ragebaiting opposition side(Bern is knowledgeable member and original downgrader). Even OP asked Bern to participate in thread. So what you are doing is just derailing and heating thread. Which might cause drama later(To point thread original theme gets irrelevant). So I just asked you to get thread banned(Since none of your points really relevant to OP, nor helps him)

Does that justify what Berny said after? It doesn't though, right? Because Berny clearly said something way worse like 2 times, in which I didn't bother calling her out worse because that'd just make me worse here. Like the point here is that Berny said something irrelevant when she could answer the question INSTEAD, and when I called her out, all her replies are definitely worse than mine after. You can't make this shit up. Like all I care about is that @Yuuki_takimoto is my friend, and she's a new user here on the forum. Is that not enough?

Im gonna say this as my last message on the topic, but no one ganged up on her. Berny just simply asked how they agreed with a thread when they didnt understand the thread then you made you comment. I think you are both in the wrong for continuing to rage bait the other party but nothing much we can do abt it now aside from deleting the comments. Tbh whether this was true or not, I just don't want y'all to act like that to my friend if anything since I'm the one who brought her to this forum in the first place anyway. She doesn't deserve these type of treatment, but that's about it yeah. I think the matter's resolved already so there's no point dragging this further.
 
I wanna make a report on someone which is on the same thread as discussed above, this was completely unnecessary and the guy straight up bypassed the filter by spacing out the letters. I'll give the images below in the event that it gets deleted or something like that:

They should be formally warned at the very least for bypassing the slur filter.

The one they used is on the tamer end of the spectrum as far as slurs go, so I think just a warning is probably fine for now.

Please do not make any further insults towards other members. You're welcome to express that you think people are wrong in a more polite way.

Secondly: the slur filters exist for a reason, and bypassing them is not acceptable, no matter your intention.
Normally we'd issue at least a short ban, but I recognize that the slur you used is generally considered not as serious by many communities.

I will add this to the warning tracker.
