The Inspiration vs The Original (Karbin vs General Grievous)

Karbin might be competent and have cybernetics comparable to or better than Grievous, but Grievous has a massive advantage in terms of how to actually use those cybernetics since he's had his for a lot longer than Karbin has. Not to mention he's been fighting with Lightsabers for way longer than Karbin too, though Karbin somewhat pressuring a distracted Vader is still impressive considering it is Vader of all people we're talking about who makes everyone in the prequel era look like complete jokes in terms of combat skill.

Karbin is weird. By that I mean he scales to Vader... except not really. From what I could find of that fight, Vader spent part of it one-handed, where he was being pressured, but completely mogged him the microinstant he got serious.

Grievous in Canon can pressure Maul, Obi-Wan(who's comparable to Vader in skill), etcetera. He's got scarce few actual wins against people of note, but like... that's enough to beat a guy who only has one big fat L to a Serious Vader. We're not sitting there pretending like Grievous in Canon in some skill god, but he can deflect blaster bolts and Karbin hasn't shown to be able to.

And in a lightsaber duel with no force powers, skill rules all. Grievous wins.
