Introduction
Yeah, another thread. This time it'll largely be a clean up of our current cosmology page as well as an upgrade to the Norse portion of the cosmology.Cosmology Page Tune Up
This is the new cosmology page. The core is the same, though as compared to the current one;- The Titanomachy and Theogony sections were removed due to redundancy.
- The Coexistence section was completely overhauled with new information from Sons of Sparta.
- Added images to the page itself.
- Added the confirmation of "realities" existing within Greece.
- The Grand Cycle (pending a better name) is essentially the term for the overarching timeline/reality of the Norse world as a whole. That section (though I also recommend reading the Yggdrasil and Realm Between Realms sections) details all the information about it but overall, it would be a higher temporal dimension than those of the Nine Realms, encompassing the Yggdrasil and be Complex Multiverse level in tier.
The Norse world undergoes an endless cycle of creation and destruction of its inhabitants and the Nine Realms themselves, with this grand cycle encompassing all the World Tree, creation coming to and end at Ragnarok and being born anew. This is showcased by how the Yggdrasil would have been fully immolated as the cycle entailed, if not for Kratos. One can also travel through time on the scale of the entire World Tree, which includes to back before it was violently splintered by Thor and later lost a whole branch due to Surtr's final blow. So, the World Tree is an object that exists within a timeline that can change within it on a holistic level even when one travels through it.
At the heart of the Yggdrasil is the Spark of the World, from which Ymir himself emerged, even before time itself was created, as time only came into existence after Odin killed Ymir by stabbing him with his Spear and spilling his mystic life-blood. This is important as we know the Yggdrasil can grow and change with time and Atreus, who is well aware of the Yggdrasil and its place in the cosmos, considers the meeting of Fire and Ice as the beginning of everything, which Surtr agrees with.
As such, the tree, like the rest of creation emerged from the Ginnungagap, with the meeting of Fire and Ice is bound to the grand cycle of creation and destruction, which is a timeline that encompasses of all existence in the Norse lands.
Any potential scaling will be handled at a later revision thread.
