This is a minor ccrt for Subaru’s page and that is the fact that beatrice should be his optional equipment arc 5 onwards becus he mostly fought without her in arc 5 and their major fight together was in arc 6 after which Subaru was alone again in arc 7. He uses her sure but its not an always...

I draw the line here, surely you can't just make a character loyal to another character part of their optional equipment. Reinhard isn't in a soul-bound contract, he isn't an empty husk, they aren't linked by any ability, he's her sworn sword. Him having the ears to hear her summons from miles away and the legs to arrive in ample time doesn't make him different from the other first knights. Anastasia can just call Julius over with a conference mirror for example.

If your argument is that the abilities would not function in our universe for some reason, that line of reasoning is not applicable in a standard VS match. Characters are assumed to retain access to their abilities and powers.

If you're instead arguing that this is a range issue, that point is likewise irrelevant. Cross-universal interactions are generally assumed to be possible within VS debates, as otherwise a vast number of matchups could not occur in the first place. Furthermore, Return by Death has already demonstrated the capacity to function across different universes, so arguing that it would fail on those grounds is unsupported too

Return by Death functions through Satella determining Subaru's checkpoints. The placement of these checkpoints is consistently intended to provide Subaru with a viable path to overcome the obstacles before him and continue progressing forward.

Forcing Subaru to receive a checkpoint that prevents him from meaningfully addressing the situation would amount to restricting the ability itself. The selection of checkpoints is an inherent part of Return by Death's mechanics and is determined by Satella. Consequently, imposing a checkpoint that functions contrary to that purpose is not representative of how the ability works.

I agree with Satella and Zab here. The note is a direct form of interference with Return by Death's functionality, and calling for Reinhard doesn't really qualify as summoning to begin with.

The way rbd works is by giving him time to get through the threat. Depending on his mental level that varies a ton, the reason the loops have gotten shorter is because of Subaru becoming immensely more competent aside from arc 7.

If you put him in a time loop on purpose, where he will be forced to rbd without being able to escape then that's directly interfering with his ability since rbd would set his checkpoint at a point where he would be able to overcome it.

You can always quote the part of the OP where I am arguing for putting him into an infinite death loop, otherwise we’re not gonna have matchups where he gets an entire season, 25 episodes worth of prep time every single death as well as his signature 1 crashout per arc as to why he can’t survive against Goku before locking in as a Standard Battle Assumption.
