  • I have many responsibilities on this site, and this means I only wear each hat for as long as is necessary. Therefore, you may leave CRT/calc eval/whatever requests, and I will try to get to it, but understand that my time is limited and I'm normally already tapped for some wiki policy matter or maintaining the wiki management threads or handling account issues for users who never seem to get things right. Low priority requests include tiershit, particularly active verses, and discussions with a lot of active staff voices already present. I'm not saying "no" but I probably won't get to them. If I don't reply, smart money says it won't be me to get to it. Sorry.
    So, some questions as usual
    1. Is layered NPI and ESP a thing in D&D?
    2. What are the issues you're currently facing in the development of the CY-BORG verse? Because it seems to be pretty high in quality
    3. When out of cover or forced to start moving, what would a Cave Fisher do in combat?
    4. Are the deaf immune to Weeping Dirge?
    5. The Mu Spore has a reaction speed value... How exactly does it dodge?

    5. OK, try this

Ah, a wheep. Yeah, if you're unable to hear, the wording implies you'd be immune.

    1. Actually, "layered" NPI and ESP is a legit thing, even in dnd. In 3e, Ghosts are both incorporeal, and by virtue of residing in the ethereal plane, they are unaffected by a bunch of stuff unless manifesting. Ghost Touch bypasses both. Ghosts are also normally invisible and double so when in Ethereal. True Seeing bypasses both. It's bs and stupid, but it's technically there.(The term "layered npi" started because of JoJo, as stands can't be seen nor interacted with even to other souls)
Hi, I'm (sort of) new here, I made a match with a Helmed Horror (well...a Battle Horror actually) recently and I'd need a couple of details on how D&D resistances (and resistances in general) are treated here, do you mind dropping in or do you prefer a recap of the questions here?
    Carfusso
I suppose your position on blasting spells is fair. I'm extremely tired at the moment so I'm going to leave that at that.

    Hey, don't push yourself.
Rest first, everything else second, internet rando on a fanfic batttle forum last, I can wait.
Still sorry though. (and thx again for the answers)

As for piercing... neither of those, I think. It's more like the method of piercing allows attacks that use it to functionally be stronger in the same setting. If the Horror were forced to punch, it'd be no different than the Eidolon.

Then I guess it's not that significant of an advantage if it has no ripercussion on the rating.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    I've since slept, thanks.

It isn't bad, and if the match is looking close it can be used to decide a victor. I just don't feel, in this instance, that it is noteworthy.
    Carfusso
Got it, ty, have a good day.
Hey so you did this calc and Im basically trying to replicate that just with a bigger house, I'm confused on what you did here in the calc

    FGQUFzy.png

How did you put the numbers in the equation to get the specific heat energy? From what ik about the formula is just E=m*c*change of temperature but when I do this with your numbers I don't get 1.2898e12, I get 1.3041843e+12 instead. (1022088 * 1450 * 880 - 16)

As I am just another degenerate on a site full of degenerates, I'd like to ask, please don't call me a sir, hah.

I'm curious, what did you think was wrong with the other calc?

If you want, I ask you to be evaluated, calc before KT there was a flaw in finding the laser diameter, and now it has been fixed by KLOL, KLOL told CGM to evaluate and if you are willing, please be evaluated because we will make a thread.
Saw you had a pixelmon thread

would you be interested in a Minecraft thread I made then?

@Mr._Bambu, I need some confirmation. I'm planning on making Clancyverse matches. Are the profiles outdated or are they still usable?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I haven't played Siege in years so it may be outdated, I don't know. Siege occasionally balances operators by giving them new equipment. The profiles are old though, either way.

The Division guy is missing anything unique to the second game. Outdated is a poor term, the game was out at the time- I just sure as **** didn't play it.

No idea about Ghost Recon, wasn't involved.
I haven't done this in a while but uh...
    1. Where is Assassin Vine's Range?
    2. What does the Green Hag start with?
    3. Is Aranea's summoning combat applicable? Because they are a one-person swarm
    4. What are Bonegnasher's skill feats?
    5. Why don't the playable characters of MÖRK BORG have NPI for being able to hit the Wraith? In fact they seem to lack a lot of resistances against the creatures in their realm, most notably the Lich
Could you calc the speed of this punch? (it's shown once in the PS3 version at 4:25 and then again on PS5 at 6:08, if you decide to help use whichever is more convenient)

The player character is 1.81 meters tall and the huge ****** dragon is 103 meters tall, and has mostly human proportions which I think should make calcing a bit easier
    SheevShezarrine
    SheevShezarrine
Pretty consistent actually. Current speed used for the verse is 522 m/s
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
The teeniest, tiniest upgrade then. Happy to be of help, I've passed it along to a couple calc eval channels in the hopes of getting it done quick. You're free to also summon the cavalry if you like, of course.
    SheevShezarrine
    SheevShezarrine
I've been considering giving the Demon's Souls top-tiers "at least Supersonic" based on that scene since Dragon God hits way faster than the player character (Supersonic reactions/combat speed) can dodge, but didn't feel quite right without some amount of numerical evidence backing it up, which I now have. Tyty 🙏
Hi, since you are form the calculation group and is also listed as supporter of of the Xionic Madness verse, could you help me with this CRT please?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I am not actually terribly knowledgeable, truthfully. I'm just fond of its originator, Madness Combat. I'll still try to take a look though.
Hey Bambu does this match seem fair?

"Cartoon Krypto the Superdog vs Courage the Cowardly Dog

This is Season 2 Krypto with his Timestopper

    Krypto is 6-C

Courage is in his High 7-C Key and has his Optional Equipment and hax

    Speed is equalized"

I'm asking here because LG was unsure if it was a stomp so it could use more inputs
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I don't know sufficient amounts about either character but it does seem tenuous, yeah. Would really depend on the exact tendency of Courage to use his hax.
Yo Bambu, what's the booklist for Illidan and Arthas? Gonna have to release them a wee early cause of Death Battle

In fact do you just want an inv to the frankly slowly moving Warcraft revisions so you can oversee and add stuff here and there?
    Hi son.

You shredded my last Knight Run upgrade to pieces with facts and logic. Make up for it by taking a gander at this one please.

Mr Bambu since your an administrator I have a question

In the privacy settings it says receive news feed and view identities.

    what do those mean exactly?

I’m a little confused for those two but not the other things in the privacy settings
Would you mind reviewing these calcs so I can wrap up this CRT?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I'd rather not get caught up in anything people are trying to sell as Tier 0, if it's all the same to you. Would rather not be associated.

    That's fine.

    ActuallySpaceMan42
I know you stated you would rather stay out of anything Tier 0, but now that the CRT is done, we are having issues finding anybody to check the calcs. It's the last thing holding back the CRT so if you change your mind, it would be appreciated.
Alright, I have another list of questions
    1. How does the petrification from Gorgons, Basilisk, and Medusa work on characters that can duplicate or split apart?
    2. How does the finger of death spell work on characters that can duplicate or split apart?
    3. What makes a vermin a vermin? Because a lot of arthropods like Cave Fisher, Phase Spider, and Rot Grub are not included as vermin
    4. For oozes without any other methods of attack, how exactly can they harm a character immune to acid?
    5. Does Thorvin not have a CR score? Because he's just 9-C
    6. Are you working on the members of Xanathar's Guild?
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    1. I kinda assumed that if one part or duplicate gets petrified, the others remain safe but then I realized at least for basilisk and Medusa that it's based on vision so you can just close your eyes. For the Gorgon however since its petrification is gas-based, would petrifying one split body part or duplicate petrify the whole enemy?
    2. Same logic as before, when doing the Death Manip on a split body part or duplicate, does it affect the whole enemy?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. If your duplicate isn't put under the condition to be petrified then they aren't petrified. If they are, they are petrified. If you're asking about like... a creature splitting apart, as its being petrified, then yeah, whole thing should be petrified afaik.
    2. If the duplicate is ultimately one entity, then yes. If the duplicate is an entirely separate entity, then no. Like I can think of the guy from X-Men who has the power to clone himself rapidly, that it would probably kill all of them, as Finger of Death is soul death. On the otherhand, something like Ripley 8 is a clone biologically only, and it wouldn't matter if the original died. As for "split body part", yeah almost definitely Finger of Death kills the whole thing.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
sigh Alright then. Thank you, I was very close to making some stomp matches

Also I forgot that even if Finger of Death didn't work on split opponents, Vitreous Drinker can read minds and teleport to find where the original is hiding and get to them
Need your help, please. I'm making a Kinetic Energy calculation for Malebolgia here, but I can't find out what exactly a "drac" is. I was thinking of just using the charts from the Large Size Calculations page, yet I wanted to run it by you and any other calc group members first. What do I do?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Aye, I saw. A manitou was not what I had been expectin'. Imagery used reminds me of the Leshen boss fight from the Monster Hunter x Witcher crossover.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Well for the Manitou, I chose it because I recently discovered it while learning on Fiend Lore of D&D and honestly anything that can be used as a big bad for a primarily Ranger campaign is pretty cool. As for design, your profile pic reminds me of Specimen 8 who is a deer guardian and the guy also has a connection to nature or similar things.

It's a neat coincidence and I did foreshadow such an entity in @BEASTHEART880 and @Soupywolf5's bosses so I was just waiting for a chance to use it. Thanks for coming, I loved the opportunity
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Ah. Fiend lore is an apt connection, I suppose. My profile picture is a depiction of Baphomet.
Dread Emperor vs Raikou has happened. I'll just let you know here before @Tllmbrg or @Qawsedf234 drags you in unwittingly. Anyway, usual list of questions
    1. Violet Fungus has a reaction speed value... How exactly does that thing dodge?
    2. Against intelligent animals that have thought, can they be controlled by the Elder Treant?
    3. How exactly does its damage reduction work? Please tell me it's not Type 9 Immortality too...
    4. Now I know that the gods and abominations are smurfs. For the ones without the Wish spell, do their haxes stop at Low 1-C or at 2-C/2-A? Because there's another entire verse with Low 1-C haxes and Low 6-B to 6-B physically
    5. How does the Devastation Vermin's damage reduction work?
    Qawsedf234
    Qawsedf234
    1. The Fungi in question is a Violent Funji who has feet
      • This human-sized mushroom has four tendrillike tentacles and a mass of small, rootlike feelers at its base that enable it to move slowly.
    2. There's both a size and training limitation for animal messenger
      • You compel a Tiny animal to go to a spot you designate. The most common use for this spell is to get an animal to carry a message to your allies. The animal cannot be one tamed or trained by someone else, including such creatures as familiars and animal companions.

Using some type of food desirable to the animal as a lure, you call the animal to you. It advances and awaits your bidding. You can mentally impress on the animal a certain place well known to you or an obvious landmark. The directions must be simple, because the animal depends on your knowledge and can’t find a destination on its own. You can attach some small item or note to the messenger. The animal then goes to the designated location and waits there until the duration of the spell expires, whereupon it resumes its normal activities.

During this period of waiting, the messenger allows others to approach it and remove any scroll or token it carries. The intended recipient gains no special ability to communicate with the animal or read any attached message (if it’s written in a language he or she doesn’t know, for example).
    3. The Treant's Damage Reduction is just a flat DR 10/- rate. Meaning it will just negate a certain amount of damage
    4. Without Wish or manipulation of some weird multi-dimensional item they tend to top out at 2-A to Low 1-C. Immortals are the only ones who get to 1-B and Low 1-A without technically being smurfs.
    5. Like with the Treant's all Devastation Vermin just have a flat damage negation aspect of DR.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
