Shadow is the one arguing me thinks, but I can say something for Majima in the meantime.
Majima fought and defeated
an opponent who could similarly copy his entire fighting style through sight and
use it mid-fight back in the prequel Y0. So facing another foe who does the same thing isn’t particularly difficult for him.
AP gap is large, about 2.7x, but it should be noted that his feat back in YK1 was performed after barely recovering from a deep wound, and like most other Yakuza characters, he’s grown much stronger since then. And of course, there are stat amps from Heat that can be built up simply by landing attacks, dodging and taunting, as well as bladed weapons to further mitigate the difference. Majima is also incredibly precise, which should help him time his blocks to
reflect Taskmaster’s strikes or
quickstep around her attacks to gain another speed boost. Additionally if he manages to uppercut Taskmaster into the air,
he could land a full combo on her, especially since she seemingly lacks aerial maneuverability.
Majima’s dagger can
induce electricity, which could temporarily paralyze Taskmaster.
His clones would be extremely annoying to deal with, given that they last for a decent amount of time (at least in Pirate. In other games they last indefinitely until defeated and idk how that should be treated). Additionally the Dark Gods summoned through a full madness gauge in Sea Dog style can provide a similar numbers advantage, along with several useful abilities, especially
the jellyfish one in this matchup.
