A question about db/dbz/dbs striking strength

Can someone explain(with scans) why in the dragon ball series, striking strength scales to ki attacks

pls

Both punches and ki attacks are powered by the exact same thing linearly..that being, well, ki.

Secondly because that's how durability works, if a dude can tank a planet destroying worth of kinetic or explosive energy to the face, and then some dude punches him in the face and breaks his nose, that dude's punch > that planet destroying energy. It would be literally impossible to harm a dude who can tank a planet exploding or giant **** off explosions point blank with a punch if you didn't punch with a sufficient amount of force.

Yes, this is true, but ki attacks can be charged to be more powerful. Why would Gohan striking strength scale to this Kamehameha, he pretty much used all of his power to do this attack, but his striking strength still scales???

You're using a hyper specific example of a ki attack charged so much it literally vaporized his opponent, obviously Gohan's punches don't scale 1:1 with that, it was literally all his energy he had put into that, his punches downscale though and his strikes scale to his normal ki attacks.
That's a far cry from normal ki attacks or blasts that the opponent can actually tank. It's relative, and technically speaking, they can pump their fist and focus all their kj into to amplify it by magnitudes so under certain conditions, it would scale still.

Yeah, Ki and melee attacks use the same universal power source aka Ki. Furthermore, it's extremely consistent for character A to tank character B's Ki blasts and later trade blows with melee attacks. And situational attacks such as suicide attacks aren't really the best examples and are very rare; especially since most Ki attacks only use a small portion of their Ki.

Super-charged Ki blast always have higher damage output. And no, everyone don't scale to their super-charged ki blast damage, however those ki bast are not too high so the gap between to downscale is not big
