Does prespective characters work only withe the character that you can see him thought his prespective?

For example the first person in DDLC game is a prespective character but what about characters like Monika? Are they treated as prespective characters? Since we can't see Monika thought her prespective since prespective means : the appearance of viewed objects with regard to their relative position, distance from the viewer
