Reviving this. Acnologia takes this as said due to the speed-advantage. Also he has more varied and versatile powers as Ancalagon is really not established as having powers beyond "he's big and can burn and blow stuff up real good."

Acno is significantly faster, but looking at the calcs each of the two combatants currently scale to, Ancalagon is at the very least several thousand times stronger. It would be near impossible for Acno to scratch him, let alone actually win the fight.

Its like fight of fly and snail. Fly is technically weaker but has no way to do anything to snail. While snail can easily overpower fly it has no means to even wish to start a combat. So its inconclusive until Acno's soul hax is shown to be possible to use in fight. Then it might be his one and only way to do something notable.

Ancalagon's stamina is Superhuman level. Won't he get tired extremely fast compared to Ancologia? Also Acnologia's intelligence is high due to many ears of experience, while Ancalagon's intelligence is low. I believe Acnologia will slowly damage him due to his speed, stamina and intelligence advantage.

Im going to go with Ancalagon. He outclasses Acnologia pretty much everywhere but speed.

Also it should be noted that Dragons in the Tolkien Legendarium are entirely immune to all attacks below their durability due to their scales and are more intelligent than humans due to being Maiar spirits placed in physical forms. (A lot like Gandalf and the rest of the Istari.)

Holy moly, this is a very old thread. And Ancalagon is 6-B while Acnologia is High 6-C. That and there's an extreme speed difference between them. Someone close this.
