What is truly/should be the standard term used for a Tier 9-A rating?

Small Building level

or

Room level

Personally, I'd go with Small Building simply because it sounds cooler.

Room level should be applied for feats on the lower end of 9-A.

Small Building level should be applied for feats on the high end of 9-A.

This should be because a small building such as a house is generally bigger than a room.

I'd probably go with saying that destroying a Small Building (ex. a 1 story house) is more impressive than destroying an entire room.

Speaking of something like this, High 7-A (Large Mountain/Small Island level) and High 6-B (Large Country/Small Continent) is the same thing like what Crazy said?

It causes confusion for the likes of me.

Won't it be better to just choose and stick to one? Like, if Room is lower then let's go with that. Room level then Room level+ for high end.

The terms are used inter-changeably because they overlap in terms of energy output required for their destruction, since larger rooms (such as ball rooms, formal reception areas, halls in mansions) are often comparable to small houses. For AP listing:

  • Low-end of 9-A: Room/Small Building (inter-changeable)
  • High-end of 9-A: Room+/Small Building+ (inter-changeable)
As for particulars regarding the term usage, if the feat:

  • involves a room, preferably list as room/room+
  • involves a small building (such as a house), preferably use small building/small building+
  • involves neither/something else, the choice of term is yours
We're not that specific about which term should be used for tiers with inter-changeable terms.

^ different members have different preferences of the term to be used. Using both inter-changeably suits everyone's sensibilities.

I see. Thank you @Lord Kavpeny. It's just rather confusing for some (me) but the usage with regards to the feat is a good way to go I guess.

@Cross: Yup.

@Gemmy: No problem. It's not that confusing (I.M.O.), so hopefully any minor confusion you may be encountering will abate soon.

P.S.: Off-topic: You don't mind if I refer to you as just Gremmy instead of Gemmysaur, right?

@Lord Kavpeny:

Thank you.

It's fine. Call me how you wish. People get it wrong in real life anyway so I just take whatever nickname they give me.

@Gemmy:

You're welcome.

Cool. People get my name's spelling wrong all the time, LOL.

Your name gets misspelled that's ok. My name gets mispronounced...hard.

I get the names Jim, Jet, Jed, Jack, John, Jeff and even Rick. Seriously, how the hell did that one girl get Rick?

True story.
