This thread gave back genshin its 4-A rating.
With this being as the scaling chain to the tier:
Alright, since the thread have been accepted with 3 votes, let's start to discuss the scaling

This would be the Sinners tier and anyone who scale to it.
So, i suggest to add another key for the Traveler, named "Pre Nod-Krai Chapter".
This made one huge problem, making characters like Flins to 4-A while archons who are on the same level as Skofnungr who upon absorbing powers of Narwhal obtained power to that of the Archons is above the same Archons who are = Skonfnungr.
this doesnt help how it narratively makes 0 sense for Flins, Traveler Nefer and whoever fought 10% rerir who downscales from this (5 Sinners of Khaenri'ah (Should scale to Surtalogi whose stronger than this Whale)
scale completely above archons.
Thus i believe Archons should be bumped to 4-A too
this includes top 3 harbingers since they are comparable to archons
Thats it lol

Imagine getting your name in a title of a thread

Agree btw

Disagree FRB

Obviously I agree but there is no way the 4-A rating as a whole stays for more than like 2 weeks max

I req plz don't derail thread. This is the reason genshin crts gets stretched.

Agreed, in fact, it's crazy that Flins is actually stronger than Il Capitano, and even Tsaritsa.
If that's the case, the Tsaritsa can still govern NOD-KRAI, which would truly be a favor from NOD-KRAI.

Holy hell, that 4-A upgrade thread about the Narwhal is... something.

I can't believe y'all actually twisted that passage about the inevitability of decay and entropy of the universe as a feat for the Narwhal. It doesn't even say the Narwhal devoured "Innumerable stars". Just that everything, even the stars, are fated to fade over the course of aeons.

The Narwhal's role is conceptual consumption, not physical destructiveness/potency. And it certainly doesn't imply it does this "in an instant", which is a massive misunderstanding of the text in-context with the "instant" there.

But this ain't the thread for that. If I'm not too lazy, expect a downgrade thread sometime in the future, if someone else doesn't already do that.

Yeah I disagree with this scaling. It comes from a description that describes the heat death of the universe, not a Narwhal eating stars.

Until the end of time, until the vast starry void burns down into cold embers, until then, a new "world" shall stir within the belly of the whale.

And I'm pretty sure that the word 'world' in air quotes, implies it being metaphorical, rather than literal.

No offence, but sounds like you might have to retake introductory English.

This part occurs after everything got swallowed. A completely different setting.

None taken. And no need. Not only is my first language English, but I'm also an English Major. I read the lore crumbs in the previous thread with absolute clarity, and that the OP quite literally twisted the meaning and the "timeframe" in order to fit a narrative.

Nowhere in that lore does it explicitly say that the Narwhal does all this things in a physical sense, as in literally eating stars, and even less saying that the Narwhal does these things "instantly", which was misunderstood heavily. For example:

"Millennia upon millennia of prosperity are but an instant in a span of billions of years. The greatest of achievements, the proudest accomplishments, in time all will tarnish, decay, dissipate, and ultimately fade into oblivion."

"Billions of years ago within a fleeting moment, the millennia upon millennia of prosperity, the glorious achievements worthy of pride will inevitably rust, rot, dissipate, and eventually be forgotten."

You interpreted both these text as the Narwhal eating everything within an instant, which is grammatically and functionally not correct. It simply describes that multiple millenia of prosperity is nothing compared to the billions of years in which everything will eventually decay into oblivion or nothingness. Which is to say, describes Entropy. This particular line doesn't relate to the whale, or it does so metaphorically to describe how the whale functions. Not instant, but over the course of several aeons.

There's no proof that the whale even physically "eats" heavenly bodies, much less that it does so in an instant.

Basically, the entire thing is a passage about the death of all things and Entropy, which occurs over billions upon billions of years, not literally in an instant. The whale "devours" in a conceptual sense, not literal, which we have no proof of. It certainly should NOT scale to other characters physically AP/Durability-wise.

But again, this isn't the thread for this.

The text says millennia of prosperity all will rot within a fleeting moment, which all that happened a billions of years ago. It is really just this simple of straightforward text.

Basically, the entire thing is a passage about the death of all things and the Entropy, which occurs over billions upon billions of years, not literally in an instant. The wahle "devours" in a conceptual sense, not literal, which we have no proof of. It certainly should NOT scale to other characters physically AP/Durability-wise.

Thus, the entity once known as "the divine" resolved to preserve all that should be preserved and to devour all that should be devoured.
Until the end of time, until the vast starry void burns down into cold embers, until then, a new "world" shall stir within the belly of the whale.

"belly of the whale" and "devour" makes it obvious that it is ate and swallowed. You are pulling the burden of proof by saying the whale didn't devouring everything in a literal sense because there is "no proof" of it, but you haven't provided proof that it is figurative either. What indicates that the passage is just a figurative speech of everything dying from entropy? Funnily enough, didn't even mention the word "heat". One thing I do agree is that the passage is analogous to entropy, but everything extinguishes in the Narwhal's stomach. The pivot point would be if the Narwhal ate everything which is quite obvious by looking at the text.
But again, this isn't the thread for this.
Ok

You just explained the issues with the Narwhal "feat" way better than I could hope to (it'd be really funny if this now turned into a Narwhal downgrade)
