If the novel comes out and clarifies that yes, it means the entirety of the spirit world, than we'll have to use that.That does not mean the sum totality of the spirit world combined, which would be an enormous outlier compared to all actual feats within this verse.
Plus, the avatar state is already said to channel the "cosmic energy of the universe", so it's not coming completely out of left field.

Personally, I'm only okay with Universal/Tier 2 tiers applying to the Environmental Destruction feats of characters like Vaatu, Raava, UnaVaatu, and the like. The imbalance of Spirits during Harmonic Convergence has been stated to be capable of causing the destruction of both the physical and spiritual worlds, but it's not something physical tiers would downscale from.

This is where I moreso stand at too. Plus even if the Staff has tier 2 power, wouldn’t you only get the tier via the staff? I highly doubt the staffs power would regularly scale to any Avatar or individual using it.

By the way, the staff seems to be able to control minds? Taga seemed to have used it to take command of Appa and the user can get corrupted.
Should Aang get Mind Manip or Corruption resistance for being able to resist the staff and break it?

Didn't even think about the staff potentially affecting Appa. I thought he had just been completely dejected after Tagah left Aang behind. Though Aang already has mind manipulation resistance on his profile via Yangchen being immune to the fog of lost souls.

Should the energy wave that came from Tagah being freed from the mountain scale to anything? Avatar Sonam did seal him away with energybending, after all. Also, that feat finally proves that the tree of time isn't the only thing that avatars can seal their opponents into, so you were right about that, Kukui.

I went and gathered a bunch of instances of Benders surviving attacks from each other.
- Ozai survived many attacks from Aang before being defeated
- Aang survives multiple attacks from King Bumi
- Zuko withstands wind blasts from Aang here, here, here, and here
- A clash between Aang and Zuko causes an explosion that knocks them both back while leaving no visible injuries
- Zuko and Azula matching each other's fire power causes an explosion which they both withstand without injury
- Zuko's fire blasts knock Aang off a ship but don't leave no visible injuries
- Zuko survives a water attack from Aang
- Zuko survives another water attack from Aang
- Katara survives a blast from Zuko that overpowers her water shield but is KO'd
- Zhao survives a blast from Zuko
- Zuko survives an attack from Azula that leaves him dazed
- Zuko withstands being blasted away by Azula
- Aang survives an attack from Azula that blasts through his shield
- Aang survives another attack from Azula that blasts through his armor
- Katara survives an attack from Azula
- Zuko takes a hit from a panicking Toph
- Azula withstands her own lightning redirected back at her and is pretty okay (The Search, Part 3)

Very nice list. You can also add how benders physically exert themselves while bending like Toph and Aang, as well as how bending is never really implied to be separate from their physical strength (for example, Ozai saying that the comet amps firebenders by 100x)

I mean the Avatars honestly shouldve had it since Roku was able to seal the doors to his shrine shut and made it so no one could open them outside of him. But this cements it completely.

Also off topic, but shouldn't Katara get some kind of Life Manipulation now with her healing? She mentioned that the water on the lion turtle island, infused with their spirit energy, was able to enhance her bending to bring the Gaang back to life. Basically the same as the spirit water in book 2, but Katara should now have that ability going forward.

i agree their base durability needs be upgraded its very common when their bending attacks collide causes explosions. explosions have heat knock back taruma etc and they dont really seem get badly injured and can get up right away. or getting hit by bending isnt like instant you die besides lighting

I mean, it doesn't seem like a tempoary boost since Katara herself was brought back to life from the water, who then immediately replicated the skill on the rest. The way the statement was phrased suggested that her bending was permanently enhanced by the lion turtles spirit water.
And for what its worth, this would coincide with how Katara by Korra's time is known across the world as the best healer, and how her healing could do things like keep Jinora's body alive while her soul was trapped in the spirit world for extended periods of time. And she was the only one who could keep her alive until she was freed.

Yeah. If anything these feats should fall in line with their later depictions, like Katara's healing being able to keep people alive even after the removal of their souls.

Without spoiling too much, it's a spiritual amp that buffs bending power. When Roku felt it, he became concerned that a small group of earthbenders could use it to shift several continents. Through scaling, it's good supporting evidence of the avatar's current rating of 5-C.
There's also an ancient scroll written by a guy who claims that firebenders used the amp to move the sun, though unfortunately the scroll is apocryphal.

I don't think continent shifting supports 5-C... that's more of a 6-A feat and that depends on the magnitude and the sizes of the continents

I know. I meant that the statement is relatively close to 5-C and well above island-level, which is where a lot of people offsite seem to put the verse.

Roku and sozin just from entering the cave can accidentally bend blue fire and later on in Roku's case can bend white flames(hotter than blue) then when charging up his blue flames he can make iridescent flames(dragon fire) not even sozin's comet +the avatar state can give you that type of power
The sacred cave gives such a boost that it can make 3 water benders do the job that would take hundreds of waterbenders to do

I am quite positive Blue Fire was stated to be hotter than white regarding Azula's Blue fires. Plus Blue fire is the hottest IRL
