Yeah man. Sucks that his life was a *****, though. Here's Jiren's life.
Happy baby Jiren: Good Jiren.
Sad Jiren: Parent's died.
Took arms with a Master.
Emo Teenage Jiren: Same Murder killed both his Team/Jiren.
Emo Alone Teenage Jiren: No one went with Jiren. Jiren was alone. Bad Jiren.
WOKE Jiren: Jiren finds a weakness toward his weakness, which was Strength. With it, he believed that Winning/Strength was Justice, that Justice was absolute, and that his Strengths will give him happiness.
GOD JIREN: Jiren (Likely) defeats the Murderer he wanted to kill so long ago, he joins the Pride Troopers, and he protects the People of Universe 11, knowing that NO ONE should go through the same shit he went through back in the day. Belmod takes a liking to him, Belmod and Jiren fight, Jiren wins, and that's that.
ToP Jiren: Jiren finds out that Goku started a Tournament. He doesn't go, but is then forced by Belmod to go anyway, just for the Wish. Jiren joins, he meditates about Son Goku, and he's off. Then, Jiren tells Goku to get lost (Likely because he knows of Goku's shitty attitude/life towards Gods, and such), and then it only goes downhill from there...
So, what can we agree on: Jiren's the Alphaist Male of Alpha's in the Alphaverse.
What's his wish: Likely to bring back his Family/Friends/Master.

Not going to lie, I don't like Jirin as a character, and the "My parents died, so I will become a better person for it." cliché is too overused and really doesn't excuse his MASSIVE GLARING PROBLEMS! He's just a stepping stone, atleast Cell had personality and Freeza is awesome and Chaotic Evil, but Jirin is just a Stepping stop.

@Udlmaster wrong, jiren's story is double more sad than a normal sad anime origin story and he didn't become a better person he became Gray Saitama

Young Chichi, Puar, blue hair Launch, and pretty much all the animal background characters in the original Dragon Ball have him beat.
